He would give us a Plan B if we need it . Big physical bruiser to stick up front and piss off the opposition defence so Son and Moura can nip in

What does ‘felch’ mean?

Im going to regret asking this!
Oh. Ok.

It’s using the mouth or tongue to remove ejaculate from an orifice, generally the back one.

Hopefully this shows my distaste for having Troy bloody Deeney meandering around our pitch. Whoever he is playing for.

We are in need of a striker who will get limited minutes, I don't see many lining up to sit on the bench, why not if we can get him and Wilson they are two decent back ups to Kane?
How does every other club manage it then and how did we also manage every season before Kane? I dont see anyone else with 1 striker and a duffer sat on the bench. Chelsea had Giroud sat on the bench. Arsenal had Lacazette sat on the bench. Every fking top 4 club throughout Europe has decent strikers sat on the bench to bring on but we cant get one???
I really dont understand this 'we cant get anyone because of Kane' bollocks.
And thats what it is, bollocks.
Truth is we cant get anyone because we wont fkin pay for anyone, its really that simple.

We play counter attacking football which means everyone working their arses off and being clinical on the counter. Deeney doesn’t meet any of these requirements. Barring scoring penalties he’s finished as an EPL player.

Similar was said of Vinny Jannsen. "Plan B", "Physical presence", bla, bla, bla.

He or Giroud could be decent short term options but would be worried if we had to rely on them for a lengthy period of cover

I just don't understand how those 2 players can be mentioned in the same breath.

One has been capped 97 times for France. He's won the World Cup, Ligue 1, 4 FA cups and the Europa League. This season he scored 8 goals in just 1000 mins, as a back up for the club that finished 3rd. So he literally couldn't have proven himself more suitable as a back up at a CL aspiring club.

The others biggest claim to fame and I'm not even being sarcastic, is that he went to prison and 10 years later came over well when talking to Louis Theroux. Jimmy Saville managed half of that and he's at least proven he can run marathons!

Let’s face it, Kane’s back up is a tough job description to fill. We have a tiny budget and we’re not getting Wilson for £10m and anyway he’ll want a lot of games. Deeney won’t. He’s just what we need AT THIS TIME. He’s also a bloody great guy. Listen to Louis Theroux’s recent interview with him and you’ll want him at Spurs: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p08grz6g

I listened to that podcast too, he does seem like a decent guy. I thought Chris O’Dowd who was on the following week also seemed a great guy.

Here’s a bunch of strikers we’ve been linked with the last couple of seasons who are in most cases available and attainable.

If we’re wanting a young, exciting and in form striker then you’re looking at Musa Barrow and Schick (few years older).

Barrow - young, quick, playing well Fuck buying an unproven young player from Serie A
Malen - as per Barrow but currently out with a long term knee injury I do like Malen but probs need to prove himself more and also he used to be in Arsenal's academy so could mean he wouldn't join
Raul Jimenez - 29, playing well for Wolves Not remotely attainable
Schick - 23? done well at Leipzig but they reportedly can’t afford the £25m fee Neither can we lol
Jovic - young, had a fantastic season in Germany but out of favour at Madrid. Potentially expensive though Exactly
Mitrovic - strong, a goal scorer, calmed down the last couple of seasons... a possibility if Fulham don’t get promoted Wouldn't mind Mitrovic at all
Watkins - quick, excelled in the championship. Another who’s feasible if Brentford don’t get promoted He's good but apparently his release clause is more than reported
Niang - very exciting youngster but didn’t developed as hoped. However he’s 25 or so now and playing well in France. Reportedly available for under £30m Soooo also too expensive...
Muriqi - a brute of a player and very hardworking Fuck buying an unproven player from Turkey
Edouard - young, strong, promising And too expensive
Dzyuba - experienced target man Wouldn't be against this - I think he has most goals and assists this season in Russia and also has CL experience
Weghorst - very tall but decent with his feet I think he'd cost a lot
Wilson - strong, decent pace, EPL experience Agreed

Surely we’re capable of signing one of the above aforementioned players before we head into desperation and sign a Sunday league striker in Deeney?
I have offered my thoughts in Bold, not that anyone cares.

Should be looking at someone like
Odsonne Édouard, scoring regularly albeit in an inferior league but he’s gotta be worth a punt

I think signing a talentless lump like Deeney would slightly impede our ability to play the free-flowing total football we’ve exhibited this season

He’s hot property. Leicester are linked to him in the media today for £40m which reportedly they will try to sell Iheanacho to raise funds to purchase him.

No way he goes for that much but even if it’s around £30m it would hardly be a punt for us.

I'd bite your hand off for Giroud, he shits all over Deeney, Llorente, Janssen and any other Kane backup we've had.

Memphis Depay only has a year left on his contract. The French league was ended 10 games short, so they must have missed out on serious revenue and aren't in the CL. Surely he's more the type deal we should be looking at.
