Memphis Depay only has a year left on his contract. The French league was ended 10 games short, so they must have missed out on serious revenue and aren't in the CL. Surely he's more the type deal we should be looking at.

He made one start under Mourinho at United.

Would love Memphis as he's got an excellent scoring record as a No. 9, but would have a very good chance of slotting directly into our first XI as the LWF with Son moving over to RWF. The number one factor determining the effectiveness of a striker is confidence IMO, and it's hard to maintain that goalscoring edge when sitting on the bench for months at time. Bringing in a third striking option behind Son and Kane who is virtually guaranteed to get plenty of time on the pitch in order to stay sharp and confident -- even while Kane is fit -- would be wise IMO.

Yes, but they left on good terms:

"When I left, I said to Mourinho 'you will see me at the top.' He said 'OK. I hope that, and I hope we will buy you back one day.' I never had a bad relationship with him."

It also says “provided you’ve reached the top”. Which he hasn’t. Depay is shit.

So here is playing for the Dutch against Germany. He seems like a pretty good player to me. He's clearly no Messi, but he is so much better than the shit we are currently being linked with.

Yeah among all forwards in top-five leagues he's only in the 97th percentile for non-penalty goals, 92nd percentle for expected assists, and 98th percentile for dribbles. Dogshit.

Blah blah stats. Stats themselves are wrong 87.5% of the time. No time for stats.
He scored five goals in five appearances in the fucking Champions League this season. What player in the history of football has been "shit" and managed a goal per game against the very top competition?

I think he's scored 14 in his last 20 for Holland also.

Depay is shit in the same way Forlan is shit. Failed at Utd as a young player. C'mon maybe the PL is not for him, but for from shit.

Deeney on the other hand.....

Might be ok?

Erm, Memphis Depay?
You're putting forth no actual argument whatsoever. You just keep asserting he's "shit," and obstinately ignore all the evidence to the contrary that has been presented.

If you're going to advance an argument you need to actually substantiate it, not make mere naked assertions over and over again. You sound like a complete fucking imbecile.

You're entitled to your opinion but I'm not seeing any evidence whatsoever that it's actually right.

I think he’s shit. My opinion.

Jose also thinks he’s shit. He played him once I think at UTD.

I can do this all day. You choose?
