I've seen some comments in the press recently about a potential negative reception for Redknapp when he visits the lane tomorrow...

I'm not sure what this is based on other than poor journalism (being an ex manager) but he didn't leave under a cloud and hasn't belittled / bad mouthed the club in any way.

I wouldn't count myself as a big Harry fan but I genuinely hope he gets a decent reception before ko and we can crack out a chant or two for Glenn Hoddle during the match

I was a fan. I also completely agree that he should have been sacked. I hope we give him a clap (not a standing ovation though).

Uses his Timbot for that.

Has also made sly little digs without doubt. But he still deserves a decent reception for the good he did.

Good reception. I'm going to sound like Harry himself, but he got us 4th, 5th, 4th. Even if he didn't make us better, why would you boo an ex manager?

As I said yesterday he should get no reception at all in my opinion, good or bad. He is the past... Its the first match at the Lane of a new season with a new manager in place. Those who are there should concentrate 100% on getting behind our lot rather than who is in the other dugout.

This. He only had himself to blame for getting the sack, and used to come out with some pretty idiotic comments, but we had a lot of character when he was in charge.

Hasn't he been back to the Lane as an opposition manager anyway?

I'll be at the Lane tomorrow and have no particular plans to cheer when Harry comes out. Of course, if he is clapped, I will join in as i think he deserves that. I'll never forget that season we were in the CL and it's a way of Spurs fans saying thank you for that at least. Of course, he acted like an idiot when the FA started courting him. But I agree with most, anyone who boos is an absolute dickhead and hopefully a few fellow Yids will tell them to STFU.

'Arry and Mo-Po on good terms it seems and things in common. Apart from managing our team they also have the same birthdays (obviously not the same year) and when they last met 'Arry gave him an excellent bottle of wine as a birthday present.

The managers may be friendly but let's hope for some real purpose and perhaps a little aggression on Sunday from our players.

If he gets a reception I hope its a good one. The guy has been in charge of the most successful period in my time supporting spurs. he made us exciting to watch and got us into the quarter finals of the champions league.

I do trust the majority of supporters will understand this and once we give him a wee clap we will get on with hopefully supporting the team to beat QPR

I don't think roaring ourselves hoarse for Pochettino and the Spurs team AND giving Harry a respectful round of applause when he appears pitch-side for the first time are mutually exclusive. Why can't we do both?

Knowing some of our fans though... I still remember the time at Fulham when they sung more for Jol than they did the guy we had in charge at the time.
