lets see

Neymar 57 mil euros
Lucas 45 mil euros
Oscar 29 mil euros

so lets say Bernard will cost about 30 million euros atleast

think we can forget about this one tbh he's the next big thing outta Brazil, he's like a little Brazilian Messi

he's worth what some one will pay for him and as some of the big spenders are spending on others as we speak, we seem to be one of the few talking to him

Both are realistic in terms of players who would want to sign for us only issue is the transfer fees. Wages shouldn't be an issue either.

Combined cost would be 35m taking our total spend to 50m which is probably the absolute net max Levy will spend and can afford to spend

Then we can start shifting a few out

If Chandli joins Spurs , I can't see Barnard joining as they will both occupy the same spot. Unless, of course, Levy & Lewis spring a huge surprise by taking some financial risk for once...

you're understating the prices as much as possible there. 45m for the two would be a more accurate figure, along with the 17m(not 15m) paulinho. i think getting benteke is just about possible if we shift a few players out. the only way i could see us getting bernard as well is if we were to fund it by selling lennon.

Who are Chandli and Barnard? I thought we let Barnard go?

Looks like both Arsenal and Liverpool are prepared to pay the 25million euros(from reports) for Bernard so I guess that rules us out.

Got the feeling Chadli is the compromise for Bernard.
Ater we lost Villa, we lost a cheap striker option, so now we will have to spend big money on a stiker, /levy is wanting to claw some back by going for Chadli.

Or, we are trying for Chadli as back up if our offer for Bernard falls though.

We could sell Siggy and Dempsey to raise the bulk of the money for Bernard and though both can be useful as bench players far better to have a player that (hopefully) should be able to offer more in his game and as a more regular starter

If we added Bernard then one of Siggy or Dempsey would be getting much less playing time anyway and if we sign a new striker then Dempsey will get less playing time than he did last season when we only had two strikers one who never really found any run of form and the other struggled second half of the season

Whilst it's nice to have depth in your squad it seems silly to have two bit part players when selling them could raise funds for a player that could prove a quality regular starter and the type of player who looks to have the kind of skill and guile in his game to carve chances against tight defensive teams that we often tend to struggle against

Allowing that we have the possibility to raise funds from the sales of Hudd, Parker, maybe Naughton, Benny, one of JD or Ade we should be able to get in maybe £20 mill enough to get a striker, I would imagine Negredo or Soldado late in the window would be gettable for around £15 mill, then it's all a question of what Levy will put up cash wise overall he has spent £17 mill on Paulinho but was prepared to pay a similar sum for the Croatian lads, so in theory there should be enough left for a couple more players one of which would have to be a lb if Benny does go (or if it's Rose that goes)

I'm not so sure Chadli is quite versatile so could play numerous positions, whereas Bernard would be strictly our wingforward!

I don't think we have a chance on this guy. He will be too expensive. We need this money for a good striker. I think he is nailed on for Porto. We will see.

Even with a new striker we need another player of this quality as well
