I'm so glad I stopped by this thread. I now know Sessegnon has no future at Spurs cos he's too mentally weak...based on Michu's loss of form at Swansea (caused by injury) and some guy's onions. :X3:

Edit: I forgot that he's also too short.

He won the award due to one productive season in a subpar league. Michu also had an absolutely incredible debut season in the prem. Two or three seasons after that he was playing fifth tier football or something along those lines.
Sess has shown absolutely nothing since then to prove anyone that he'll make it at the top or that he's even any kind of progress at all.

I remember being downvoted like this when I was highly against us buying Janssen, Clinton and Nkoudou as well. Time will tell.
Were you comparing them to Michu too?

I do wonder if despite bringing in Doherty, if we’ll add another RB if/when Aurier is sold, and looking at how Lewis’s price for Newcastle had dropped from the original price quoted for Liverpool in the media, is it likely Aarons price will also drop?

Edit : Not sure why this draws Doh and Optimistic ratings. We had Aurier and KWP last year, one has gone, the other is likely leaving. Are we going to go into the season with only one natural RB as we did after January and then find we need to play Aurier every game? And originally in the media Lewis was quoted at £20m for Liverpool but allegedly went to Newcastle for £15m. We saw likewise with Hojbjerg, quoted at £25m+ originally, but was more like £15m.

Aaron is overrated imo. I still believe KWP is a better player.
Of course this suggestion of converting Sarr from Watford into wingback would be a master stroke like Alfonso Davies, will never happen.

It didn't drop, they will still end up paying £20m.

Wouldn't be surprised if Norwich have lowered the asking price given the lack of interest so far

We could sweeten the deal with a Cirkin loan to knock off a couple million. That could work out well for all parties, as Aarons can play LB (meaning limited opportunities for Cirkin).

We've already given them our best defensive midfielder on loan, they should give us Aarons for free really

I'm surprised Aarons hasn't yet moved this window.

If we could sell Aurier for £15m, and sign Aarons for £20m, that would be exceptional business.

Bear in mind Aurier is on £70,000 per week, Aarons is allegedly on under £10,000 per week. Even if we gave Aarons a contract worth £25,000 per week, on those numbers the saving off the wage bill between himself and Serge would cover the difference between the two transfers in his first two seasons.
