Alderweireld should be the first of any Spurs names making the list. Consistently our best player this season, and for me by some considerable distance. I fucking well hope he now wins the club award.
Stupidly, winners are announced next Sunday with 3 games of the season remaining (4 in our case). So the title race could still be wide open when it's announced.

PFA Player of the year
Why do you think the voting commences in January, the player of the year is for the calendar year, not the season which is why they announce it before the season is done.
Bit silly if you ask me but that's what it is.
Neither makes sense though as how the hell would Alli or Mahrez make a list if its only based on (for them) half a year.PFA Player of the year

Except it's not. It's for the football year, hence this award will be referred to as the 2015-16 year.PFA Player of the year

It isn't. @Shadydan is correct. I think the PFA explained that the year Bale won it. It has never felt like a genuine explanation though as I'm pretty sure half of the PFA members themselves don't know what period the award is supposed to cover so as @Riandor says it ends up being a weird hybrid, but usually the winners look fair/reasonable enough.
The YPOTY is a weird one though - it's a bit daft that Coutinho is even still eligible for the award. Alli is the breakout star of the season but I've a suspicion that Kane will win it again.
Mahrez will win POTY. The fact that the shortlist for the senior award is so heavy with attacking players also means that it's likely one of the players in the shortlist won't even make the Team of the Year.

Alli, Dier and Toby should be in the XI. JT not seen us then I take it? Thought he'd at least notice Toby's defensive performances.John Terry's ballot:
