The votes are decided by fellow pros - players and managers, the PFA don't pick anything.

For some reason people still get pissed off with the PFA and the Premier League as if they're the ones who decide which is nominated.

Why do you think the voting commences in January, the player of the year is for the calendar year, not the season which is why they announce it before the season is done.

The thing about Mahrez is with Vardy also on the shortlist, I could see them splitting support.

I can see this happening as well, especially with Kante in there as well. Hopefully to Kane's benefit.
