Before he got injured, he was immense. He is also a better passer than most give him credit for and he likes to break forward, so I think Poch will be a fan.
That's what I'm thinking and why I'm not worried about us losing Sandro.

I just can't believe people are willing to get rid of Sandro and they would probably cry about loyalty if anyone left we didn't want to sell.

Di Marzio just posted that Napoli submitted an official bid of 10m euros for Sandro. But Spurs reportedly want almost double that.

Derisory offer. I'd still say no even if they doubled that opening offer. Suspect Levy wouldn't though. Would be be gutted to see him leave.

Insulting opening offer. Even with his injury concerns he's still worth more than that.

Posted this stat in another thread, but I think the following could be one of the reasons why we're reportedly considering offers for him...

- Sandro has only started 60 of a possible 152 PL matches since signing for us. That's including 10 PL starts last term, of which he only completed 90 minutes four times (he was also booked on six occasions)

Isn't that sort of a self fulfilling prophecy?

Intriguing, how do you figure?
He hasn't been playing regularly for a multitude of reasons, others get the opportunity and grab it (e.g. Bentaleb) so "the man" (Levy/Baldini/Poch/whoever) figures we can do without him - ergo will consider offers.

Eh, fair enough. Can't disagree with that.

Yeah, I'm thinking if we can move Sandro for a good fee it may not be the worst thing as far as from an on-the-pitch perspective. The appearances (or lack thereof) show he's injury prone, and if we can get a team like Napoli (i.e. outside of our league) to pay big for him, then I can't really object to the idea, especially if that could mean we bring on Morgan Schneiderlin.

I don't believe he is injury prone, just was mismanaged last season (brought back to early, wrong types of training during recovery etc). We should wait to see what a proper coach and fitness coach can do first. Remember before we was injured he had the best interception rate in Europe and had more assists and Key Passes than Schneiderlin has in any one season.

A Brazilian in the sights of Naples, Sandro here. The Tottenham midfielder really like the club De Laurentiis, who is trying to move effectively. Napoli have offered 10 million Euros to the Spurs proposal considered and judged too low by the London club. Tottenham asks about 20, but the deal could unlock around 15/18 million euro. The Naples currency relaunch. Currently the player is in Brazil in the company of his agent, but if intermediaries (in Europe) could find a definitive agreement with Napoli these days, the two would be ready to fly to Italy. Towards Naples. At stake is the future of Sandro, the pressure in Naples.

I was under the impression that Sandro would stay. But how things are proceeding with apparent second bid, am loosing a bit of hope.

If we loose Sandro, its a big blow - not only we loose a talented player but also, loose another player who fans can identify the team with.

If we sell Dawson & Lennon (which we have to IMO) along with Sandro, I guess this team will be a team of strangers for the fans. If I am not wrong, Walker could be the longest surviving first team player.

He was our best player until he got injured in the 'one man team' (Bale) last season. He is also one of the only players that holds any affection from the crowd and truly cares about their perception of him. I have never not seen him put his all in, He is also one of the only players out of an army of wealthy, characterless players that we can identify slightly with.

He has had injury hit seasons, I can't deny that. But as a player and as a personality Sandro going would be an absolutely huge loss in my opinion.

This really looks like it could happen.

Would be gutted but can with his injury situation it could be a smart move - albeit a painful one for the fans.

Has only started 39% of PL games since signing for us. Wouldn't be surprised if Levy seriously considers bids in excess of £14-15m for this reason.

Real shame though, still one of my favourite players :(

I hate to say it but £15m is quite a good price though given his injuries.

I would be gutted if we sold him. As he is a fantastic player, someone clearly great for the squad cohesion and is one of very few players left that the fans genuinely feel affectionate about.

Also this isn't about sentiment. When Sandro is fit he is one of the best DMs in the World.
