Okay so a mix of a guess and a wish:

-----------------------Lloris------------------------
---Dier-------Kaboul----------Vertonghen----Rose---
--------------Capoue--------Bentaleb--------------
----Lamela------------Kane-----------Eriksen--------
---------------------Adebayor------------------------

subs: Friedel, Davies, Townsend, Dembele, Holtby, Chadli, Soldado

Well there will be a CB as sub other than that I struggle to find space for guys like Lennon or Sandro :cautious:

Think that's a very decent team. So far this season Kane, Bentaleb and Dier seem to be the 'form; players so its good they ae playing their 3rd match together (maybe est them for the 2nd leg v Limasol). I think its right to see if Lamela can show some form v QPR, in fact its pretty vital that we do check Lamela can start to replicate his Roma form. Eiikssen was a favourite in the 2nd part of last season (a bit part player in the first half) and we need to get him back to that fom which he can only do by playing - but if he's not showing it in the first half I'd vary things by bringing on Townsend or Chadli..

The CB's concern me - the Limasol goal was a direct result of Vertonghen/Paulhino lack o match readiness so we need to hope Jan is the better for playing in the Limasol match, whilst Kaboul did not excel against Wham.....but I guess they are the only viable options if Dawson is up for sale and Chirches not ready yet. Rose over Davbies is fine - he's done nothing wrong and Davies needs time to blend into the squad.

Up front, on last season's form my head tells me Adebayor every time, but my heart says maybe Soldado might show some form. That's the manager's call.

I'm sticking with my hunch of what will work well dynamically.

Lloris
Kaboul Dier Vertonghen Davies
Capoue Mason
Lamela Eriksen Ceballos
Soldado

Subs : Vorm, Rose, Holtby, Chadli, Townsend, Kane, Ade

Love to see this. But I think he'll find room for Lennon somewhere.

For me.... it has to be

LLoris
Dier Kaboul Vertonghen Davies
Capoue
Dembele
Eriksen
Lamela Soldado Kane

Different I know, but I think that would be very affective against QPR

I wouldn't mind seeing us play a 433 at all:

Paulinho Capoue Bentaleb

Lamela Adebayor Eriksen

But I think Pochettino is dead set on a 4231.
I think that would be a very flat midfield, I'm a firm believer in playmaker in cm which will allow us to move the ball quicker.

I think the team will be as against west ham, with the only doubt being bentaleb who could be rested.

Yup, lennon will take a while to sink in, those little legs pumping around the pitch always pull the wool over managers' eyes.. :D Just one of those things. Just gotta wait it out until poch twigs, then I expect the bench to be his home for while.

Soldado and Lamela have to start for me. If we want Bobby to turn the corner, he has to be given a fighting chance to rack up goals in consecutive games.

That was a peach last night. Confidence should be high. If he could bag one on Sunday, that could be the turning point for him.

Can't believe everyone doesn't have Bentaleb in the side. Showed grit on Saturday and skill tonight. Must start for me

really i never seen the game but a social network had Bentaleb slated saying the game bypassed him, but i thought he did ok against WH

Yes remember the last time he scored i think in Europe had a good game and was dropped or was that Lamela?

It's not just about scoring goals, Soldado links the attack better, making the front 4 a better team, but also, Lamela plays better with Soldado in front. Also, and IMO most importantly, against West Ham, Ade's failure to press the defender on the ball (not sure if it was a fitness issue), let down our whole pressing game. The amount of times Lamela, Eriksen & Lennon closed down the passing options only for Ade to jog away from the player on the ball (forcing the other 3 to retreat) was infuriating and it allowed the person in possession to have all of the time in the world to play a long pass, or pass to someone in midfield.

I agree with everything you say if you swap soldados name with ades. Soldado can't hold the ball up for toffee the centre backs bully him off the ball to often

I think the fact poch left ade, capoue, lennon, eriksen and kabs at home points to those all starting, soldado took his goal well but he might need to make an impact from the bench to be able gain a place for the prem

Lloris
Dier Kabs Vert Rose
Bentaleb Capoue
Lamela Eriksen Lennon
Ade

Can see soldado and kane being the main 2 subs on sunday with maybe dembele

Lloris

Naughton-Dier-Vertonghen-Rose
Holtby-Capoue
Lamela-Erisken-Kane
Soldado

Subs : Vorm, Kaboul, Davies, Dembele, Paulinho, Chadli, Adebayor

Genuinely think Eriksen plays well when Holtby is on the pitch.

352 wingbacks? Could work but we'll never see it.
Lloris
Dier Kaboul Vertonghen
Lennon Rose
Capoue Holtby
Lamela Eriksen
Soldado

Though I think we'll see

Lloris
Dier Kaboul Vertonghen Rose
Capoue Bentaleb
Lennon Eriksen Lamela
Adebayor

QPR have made some smart and exciting signings. Could take a few point from thr big clubs this year.
