Don't expect too much change from the opening game of the season.

I guess if Naughton is suspended (and Walker injured) it would either be Kaboul or Dier on the right and the other at CB.

By the sounds of it Chadli played well in the Europa League when he came on so I think he might start in place of Lennon and I'll guess that Holtby will start instead of Bentaleb as we are at home and can attack a bit more.

GK - Lloris
LB - Rose
CB - Vertonghen
CB - Kaboul / Dier
RB - Dier / Kaboul
CM - Capoue
CM - Holtby
AM - Chadli
AM - Eriksen
AM - Lamela
CF - Adebayor

Subs
Vorm, Dawson, Bentaleb, Dembele, Townsend, Kane, Soldado

I hope Ade doesn't start, yes he is our best striker in terms of goals.
But if he doesn't score, then others don't either, yes he can the ball up, but he doesn't release it quick enough.
I would rather Bobby got the nod, if he doesn't score, his link up play will give the other players a chance to score.
If its not working Ade came on later on in rhe game, plus he's nowhere near fit enough.

Soldado and Lamela have to start for me. If we want Bobby to turn the corner, he has to be given a fighting chance to rack up goals in consecutive games.

That was a peach last night. Confidence should be high. If he could bag one on Sunday, that could be the turning point for him.

Soldado will score two.

Give Soldado and Kane a chance. Kane was, by all accounts decent last night and Soldado should be high on confidence following his goal

A lot of wishful thinking on here. I imagine anyone who played against WHU but didn't travel to Cyprus is a certain starter.

Would like to see Dembele in for Bentaleb for this one. Otherwise thats my team. I wonder if Dier puts in a good shift at RB he may stay there a while?

I'm sticking with my hunch of what will work well dynamically.

Lloris
Kaboul Dier Vertonghen Davies
Capoue Mason
Lamela Eriksen Ceballos
Soldado

Subs : Vorm, Rose, Holtby, Chadli, Townsend, Kane, Ade

I see where you are going with this, I very much like the look of Cebellos also, and think he needs to be given his chance as does Mason based on pre-season, however would you really sacrifice Kane after a pretty substantial performance against Limassol? Also in my opinion Bentaleb was one of the stars of the show also, doesnt deserve to be sacrificed for me.

Ceballos and Mason on the bench for me, Kane and Bentaleb in. Like that you put Dier ar CB and Kabould at RB, I would do the same.

I must admit I was very surprised to see ade start against west ham for all the reasons you've stated. You can only conclude he is seen as number 1 striker and by some distance.

I'll be less surprised when he starts against qpr though, with an extra week of fitness and training.

I wonder whether soldado could convert to lwf ...jay Rodriguez style. Not fast enough perhaps.

I don't like Capoue and bentaleb together tbh and Kane's on my bench so not kicked him to the dust, just think it's a better dynamic for QPR to start with that.

Is poch gonna do it? Nope...not yet anyway. I seriously hope he gives those two a little look before loaning them off though.

Personally I think Ade got the nod due the physical nature of the game, West Ham london derby and so on.
Part of AM 3, yes I would go along with that, might work Ade being the top man all opinions of course

Completely depends on the fitness of some players.

If Dembele and Chadli are both fit it sounds like they had a positive impact last night, so then you'd have to wonder if Bentaleb and Lennon drop out. Also sounds like Bentaleb played well though so it's a tough one.

I think I'd go:

Lloris

Dier Kaboul Vertonghen Rose

Capoue Dembele

Eriksen Lamela Chadli

Soldado
I think we'll see:

Lloris

Dier Kaboul Vertonghen Rose

Capue Bentaleb

Eriksen Lamela Lennon

Adebayor

Wow soldado scores a goal and suddenly we should drop Adebayor who was our best striker by far last season and also scored a cracking goal in his pre-season game at the lane and put in a good shift against west ham.

Some of you guys make me fucking head hurt sometimes lol.
1) Ade did NOT put in a good shift against West Ham.
2) If we are to pick players based on season's form, players like Rose and Lamela would not get a look in now.

Be a bit more objective and less sentimental and you will see the the headache gone!

EDIT: Just saw your next post and you picked both! Crafty Devil! (y)
