BT Sport wouldn't have signed up unless there was something saying that he would be here for their launch season.
I'm sorry but I just can't see this. BT would have sold their ringpieces to get such a massive slice of EPL action no matter what. I'd bet at least a dozen of my testicles that the number of people they have had sign up purely because of Gareth Bale as opposed to wanting to watch the football beause they are fans ranges between 0 and 10 and 9 of those have 'Bale' as their surnames.

We'll do bad business if we sell Bale now without strengthening the squad. So I would strongly urge the transfer committee to get Lamela in this season so AVB can groom him as the next Bale.:D

At the end of the day the money being talked about would buy you any player on the planet, except maybe Messi. I dont think we'll see a bid from Madrid this window, unless Gareth starts agitating for a move, which I dont think he will.

When Ronaldo was transferred from Utd to Madrid Utd insisted on his fee being paid in one lump sum. Madrid duly obliged.

If Madrid want to get the £ together they can and will with the help of the state Bank. Don't kid yourself thinking they won't pay the fee or in one hit.

After Neymars transfer Bale is the hottest property bar none.

remind me how the banks in Spain are performing these days? Would they even be able to help Real Madrid out? Spurs won't accept monopoly money.

As I asked in the Bale thread are Real Madrid able to pay a big fee for Bale. they still owe us £20 million on Modric. can RM be trusted financially ?

Where does this come from? (did an ITK mention it?) Are they failing to meet payments or is this what was scheduled?

Do you think he laid in bed at night dreaming of being the face of BT's premiership coverage?!

I have no doubt that Gareth wants to go to Real Madrid, it's most players dream, but I haven't seen anything to suggest he will force a move. Also from our point of view there is no reason to accept an offer as chances are we would be looking at the same money next summer.
Given BT is launching their multi million pound product and given Bale is BT's biggest star name, I cannot see a deal would have been agreed without the minimum possible assurance of Bale staying this season.

Don't think Bale will leave this summer but reaffirms my belief that we should sign both Bernard and halilovic

Pay attention you lot.

Transfers are NEVER paid in full. It's all structured payments.

Nah those incomings would amount to about 45mil and 17mil of that (Croats) would be paid over many years id imagine. Bale wont be sold this summer. The club will look particularly foolish especially in light of recent comments from AVB and Paulinho.

The incomings will be funded by transfer kitty plus the sale of quite a few fringe players. None of us will know how much of a transfer budget AVB will be given either.

A scan through Topspurs' transfer listings and a bit of mental arithmetic suggests we made £90m on sales over the past two years and still have maybe £40m left.

History will tell us that we shouldnt sell Bale.

We sold Carrick when we badly needed him as Zokora wasnt good enough.

We sold Berbatov when we bought Modric, just imagine them both in the same team.

Except when Ronaldo left for Real Madrid, which is the point here.

Spurs would ask for their prized asset to be paid for upfront, you'd think. If RM still owe money from Modric, why would Spurs agree to another structured deal for Bale? that would be incredibly dumb and of no immediate benefit to the club.
