This is scary but it might not be all bad. I could be wrong but didn't POTL say any leaks will b at their end? In which case this should be expected

lol lol GROW SET OF FUCKING BALLS PEOPLE! Some of you really think Baldinio goes ovver there and in 1 day its all signed and sealed really? You Seriously think thats how a deal of 30M Euros is done? I would say that Baldini has made the offer and left it with them, that was yesterday, their board has conviened today and are mulling it over waiting to see if anyone else is going to bid before the 3rd deadline they have set.

POTL is the only ITK I take relitively ANY notice of and he said "any leaks will be on their side" so all this shit about it collapsing is simply leaks to see if ny other club comes forward, I doubt any other clubs on our level would have that kind of money lying about to offer that cash up front.

Can I ask why so many of you chose to read twitter and believe people who simply lie and repeat and reword stories in order to get followers and retweets? Are we not smarter to know that is all BALLS or are you happy to believe it all?
and it won't be anywhere near €30m!

The company I work for has a lot of dealings with Santander, and Spaniards hold deep grudges and long memories if people dishonour them or make them look foolish, probably more so than any other country on the planet

So if we have moved the goalposts after submitting a proposal then they will have sent Baldini away with a flea in his ear and no chance of salvaging the deal

Just hope we haven't moved the goalposts

This is posibly the stupitist post of the day? Spanish people hold deep grudges.... WTF??!

I doubt we have, we just didn't come to an agreement.
We are tough negotiators, we have to be.

I still think well get him if we were as close as reported last night. Valencia are doing the right thing from their point of view in waiting for an improved bid from us or another club, but there doesn't seem to be anyone willing to play as much as us ( I don't believe Liverpool are that interested in him). In the next few days they'll realise this is the best they can get and they'll reluctantly accept.

madrid spur on ftl:

Deal is not dead at all.

Valencia want to maximise the deal, and are looking for, in their eyes a littel more in the cash part. Our offer is close enough that an agreement will be made.

Soldado has agreed terms in principle and when the agreement is made between clubs (expected to be this aftrenoon tomorrow morning) the rest will move quickly.

I have never known Madrid Spur to get anything right. Hopefully this is a first for him.

Why do people assume we've moved the goalposts? Nearly all the information last night was leaked by Valencia, according to those ITK. The only reason I can think they'd do that is so THEY can actually move the goalposts. If everyone thinks the deal is close and then doesn't happen - Levy is the one who ends up looking tight. Whereas it's easily conceivable that they upped the price at the last minute trying to force us into paying it.

Two sides to a story - we've only heard one.

It's certainly something to be mindful of, yes.

Unless he commits his long term future to Valencia or gets sold to another club then there is every reason that we can get our man.

Well I guess time will tell, I very much doubt Baldini would have been allowed to talk to Soldado's agent if we weren't very, very close. It simply doesn't make any sence.

Even the Valencia president was quoted as saying yesterday something along the lines of "They are here to get the player as cheaply as possible but we really want the full 30 million euros. What has been offered is not far from that, we'll see what happens".

How much clearer can that be for you bunch of big wet vaginas? There was hardly going to be an announcement at 12:02 was there? They are in dire straights, they need as much money as they can get, they will try to squeeze every last penny out of the deal for their prize asset. They were never going to bend over and let us take them roughly without the least bit of struggle.

Calm down guys, we got this........

Oh no you didn't!!!

Definitely the worst bit.

No news is good news though and to be fair, we have had very very little news today about this Soldadogate affair.
Other than crummy, badly translated leaks and twitter ramblings.

Or that he'd put his reputation on the line by being a party to any silly buggers being played during negotiations.

Which is exactly what this is - negotiations.
