not using one of your assets because of personal issues is part of that same rigidity. I'm not saying Adebayor shouldve been starting every game, but not even giving him a chance is idiotic. Only the most bonehead, stubborn managers completely freeze out one of their players. Players have egos..limiting their time is understandable.

Some players are tougher to manage than others, Tevez is another player of the same mold. Completely freezing a player out is an admission of your failure, as a coach, to properly manage your team. It's that simple.
I don't agree it's idiotic, as a manager you have to stick by your convictions & if you don't trust a player to give his all for you then you can't pick him.. I appreciate your opininion & think if I was the manager of spurs I'd of tried the arm around the shoulder job with Ade & tell him what a player he was but I'm not & AVB was & his decision should b final right or wrong & shouldnt b questioned by board.. u hire a manager 2 manage & u have to back his decision..

Ha tim mentioned the Gomes incident in response to moyes desperate winging in his post match press conference, he even said he thinks that was also Howard Webb. Whisper it quietly but triffic tim is growing on me, it's going to be a fun ride that's for sure.

I had a bet on for Spurs to win 2-1 and for eriksson and Daws to score at any time. I'm ashamed to say I cashed in as soon as Wellbeck scored. I should have had more faith but just couldn't risk being doubly upset by a Utd equaliser.

From now on I'll have a little more faith in TS - Awesome performance.

Tim Sherwood: "I thought we could have played better, moved the ball a bit sharper because they were there for the taking, but games are won on different qualities. We showed the heart of a lion out there. We really dug in.

"At the moment he [Emmanuel Adebayor] has ice on every part of his body so we can't tell what's wrong with him. He just runs all day long, he tries hard for the team, but it's hard to single anyone out. We've got nine players injured so we're having to go with it with a very small squad at the moment.

Honestly what a ride, got in the car after 65 mins and thought this is going well, we scored a goal seconds after and thought, this was our day but as soon as welbeck scored i was like fuck, fuck, fuck!

Then we seemed to get lucky today but the five live commentator wanted us to lose(im not taking the piss)

He even said I dont like Lloris and dont know why they get a foreigner in when they have great keeper like Brad on the bench, then he said mind you De Gea was a foreigner and has is a good keeper

I thinking about complaining with that level of ignorance

Why should it not be? Particularly when you're paying a player £90k a week and your head coach has him training with the kids.

This Adebayor injury is odd.

Nobody seems to have seen anything and he has "ice all over his body"?

Anything to do with the Red Bull he chugged in the tunnel right before they took the pitch?

He'll be fine. I think the guys done brilliantly since his return to the squad, but he'll always be a bit of a pansy.

Rest up, Ade. Another big game we need you to take control of (and preferably not get sent off in) on Saturday! (y)
