It's a shame we have Chelsea
Next, one of the best teams potentially in the premiership era. However well we play it may be too much for us. I hope we
Don't lose rythem and confidance so soon after today

Now THAT is the Tottenham we want to see.

Well done Poch for making the changes that were absolutely vital for us. (kaboul, ade, capoue, dier etc) he has done what we have been crying out for ages.

Every single player played for each other out there and for the first time I can finally see what the 'system' is all about!!!

Lloris as always Mr reliable. That save against coleman was unreal. I'm just simply in love with the man.

Davies had his best game in a spurs shirt and really hope he breeds more confidence from now onwards. Snuffed out coleman and whoever was on the right countless times.

Chiriches was also very solid defensively and a much better cover then dier and Naughton. A few times however was a bit clumsy with his passing but can't fault his efforts.

Verts and Fazzy were simply ROCKS.. Lukaku the player we were all afraid of before kick off was lethargic for 90mins simply because of our CB partnership. They are not the quickest but what they both have is superb reading of the game and they were excellent today. What's great as well is they can only get better as long as they play consistently.

Bentaleb and Mason were workhorses and never stopped running. A superb example of what team work is about. Special mention to Bentaleb who came from a long term injury and to put out an efficient performance like that.

Eriksen is on fire and also showed so much hunger. Never seen him work like that in a long time. Well done son.

Lennon really deserves his call up and also a pat on the back because a lot of us wanted him out completely but since his been back he has two assists and lead by example with his work rate.

Sooo happy for Soldado. He took his goal with such quality. The way he composed himself for the goal was class. On top of that he showed great wok rate and very clever on the ball. I have always had faith in him.

Kane (my motm) was the focal point of how Tottenham played. So much urgency and full of heart. Really is becoming a player that we can rely on.

The most important thing now is to work on the starting 11 we had out today and build on from now. Todays game is the perfect platform to build on.

Ain't been this happy on a Sunday in 2014 for a long time lol

Next stop Chelsea. And whatever the outcome is todays game has shown all of us that there is something to look forward to in the very near future. Coys
Sometimes I find myself reading a post in the voice of the posters avatar.
Just read your whole post in the voice of Gene Hackman in full on General mode lol.

Christ @Mr Pink people who live in glass houses...

I've already held my hands up.

Or shall I go back and quote all your ridiculous and premature meltdowns during the transfer window over Morgan.
LMAO.
Nice too see some people still managing some argueing and negativity.
All this positivity and happiness was so alien.

Thought Paulinho was decent. He pressed, made runs and provided good energy. He could of scored if.kane played the simple pass

This.

Paulinho tried to get involved. May well have got on the score sheet if Kane had squared to him - for the injury time penalty call. And deserves brownie point for his two fist pump celebration, on the bench, for Bobbie's goal.

Anyone else watched Bobby's goal 20-30 times and felt relief for him at each one.......and now about to watch it again on MOTD?

There were many reasons for the improved performance today.

One of them was Lennon starting. He didn't have a scintillating game going forward, but he made the winner and was crucial in pushing Baines back.

Most importantly he helps bring balance to the team, something I've been banging on about for ages.

Apart from his defensive work and the fact he provides something different, his presence allows Eriksen to have a more free role drifting in off the left.

Until we can buy a better RW or RWF then he should start imo.

Funny how a few were saying that Mason was a liability in cm with Capoue. Test that was not evident today with a more mobile partner. They both covered the ground they had to and the whole midfield shifted across brilliantly all game and were well supported by Bobby and Hazza.

Owe Poch an apology today. Seen the team sheet and thought what the f**k you doing with that midfield and vlad at rb. But I was so pleased to seen the performance today. Bentalab was very good. Happy for soldado think he will come good. Mason and lennon played their part. Fazio starting to settle. Davies solid. Kane caused them all sorts of trouble with his directness. Lamela I hate to say it is not going to make it in this league. Great performance let's just keep going now! COYS can't deny eriksen ability and he did put a shit in today. He needs to be stronger in the tackle. Even paulinho showed some potential today!!

I said it would be 3-0, but I was just trying to be a bit more positive than the other posters at the time. The amazing thing about youth is their capacity to not care. Not care about the so called 'establishment' and not care about other team's reputations. Most importantly they don't care about working hard to win. Mason and bentaleb were great. So was kane. Hard working and courageous. c
Naturally I went 2-1 lol.
Naturally.. lol. Great match to watch. Loved the commitment shown by the whole team.

With the team that played today and the way they played, can anyone give me one good reason why Adebayor should ever pull on a Spurs shirt again, let alone sit on the bench (other than injury issues)?

I don't think we can underestimate how f#%*king huge that win was today, especially after reading that ITK. Poch knew it too hence why he showed such passion.

It was a eureka moment, but for it to stick we had to get the win. Finally we saw the players sack up and put Poch's methods into action, earning a cracking atmosphere in the process. The whole club was united in the same direction for the first time in months, and it needed the 3 points to cement that progress.

Great to see the academy lads do so well, they were excellent today. Not a bad performance from any of the starters today, exactly what we want to see as fans. Hopefully that'll be a turning point for Bobby. Not holding my breath as confidence is fragile but he has been doing a lot of things right recently and it would be a massive boost to us.

First time I've been proud of us in months. Let's hope we carry on in this vein, regardless of what happens on weds...

Regarding Bobby, I think the fact that he has had a constant run of games has helped.

Thought it at the time and after watching MOTD, but how easily did the everton players go down. Especially Miralles and Baines, and Baines constant whinging, he went way down in my estimation today.

I have to say, I have found Martinez's post match interviews absolutely pathetic. I didn't realize he was like this at all.

He's now claiming Kane's tackle on Barry was a foul. I mean seriously, this is getting embarrassing. And he keeps saying how lucky our goals were o_O

Always had time for Martinez but that interview insinuating Kane's "sliding tackle from behind" was a foul is just embarrassing.

MotD pundits mentioned the problems Everton had with their CM's playing out from the back, shame they never brought up the fact we had two academy players in the same position looking like top class hardened pro's.
