we are playing a front 5 with the average age of a one direction fan, and i thought they looked very good personally.
Then one of the experienced heads did something stupid to leave us with a quick one-two of uppercuts and it took the wind out of their sails.
I still think it wasnt that bad a half, and I dont think Lamela has been that bad.
Everyone was always going to expect our kids in their second game together to carry on where they left off at Everton, against the best most cynical and ruthless team in the league. Give them a break, this is the basis of a great little side.

Thought we started really well and if Kane's header or chance on the left went in it'd be a different game.
Disappointed in the goals we shipped and we've struggled to get a grip since.
Would like to see Soldado come on. If we can get an early goal we'll be in this. To Dare is to Do.

Moment!? He has also forgotten, two fucking times(!), to stop the ball when he's been passed to.
There isn't a mental moment with Chiriches. There are multiple mental momentS.
A shame, as I love how he is going forward.

Lamela has just given the ball away every opportunity and not chased back. The worst Ive seen from him so far...

I have watched about 10 minutes of this game in total -I have tried everything but my streams keep failing. Unfortunately I saw both goals.
Ist was Lloris' fault -you cannot get beat near post and the 2nd -poor kick.
I am listening to Collymore-he is saying we started well but cream rises to the top.
Colly saying Lamela is missing and the comm is saying Lennon on the missing list. Sam is blaming Lloris. Then says players believe they will be there longer than the manager.

Not being anti-Mason, but I think he would be my first half sub. (I don't think Lamela has been that poor, certainly not in comparison to others) but Mason isn;t having a very good game. Some of his passing has been nasty.

It's easy to be a monday morning quarter back, but I think this 4-5-1 stuff is just frustrating. We don't have the players in the three to play it properly and we very rarely look like we have a plan when in possession when we play with one up top. Having an extra man in midfield sounds like tactics, but unless there's someone to play it forward to then we end up playing deep and not offering anything when we have possession.
The players sound (on radio) as if they have a lack of options when they're on the ball. Kane appears to be a non-participant because of isolation. How are the three set up - Eriksen left, Lamela middle, and Lennon right?
Lamela's been criticized heavily on radio for giving the ball away, tackling recklessly for free kicks given away, and not contributing to our possession. But since the goals it doesn't appear we've done anything worthwhile.

It was a bright start, then all the encouraging signs were pissed up the wall. Chiriches and Lennon both switched off twice in a matter of seconds, then Lloris' kick, and all of a sudden we are 2-0 down and the game is virtually over. Our heads have dropped, Chelsea are happy to soak things up and let us have the ball in non-threatening areas, then when they do get the ball will break if they can and add to the lead.
I think a number of our lot are having poor games. Lloris, Chiriches and Vertonghen in particular. Mason is struggling a bit. Lennon and Eriksen are struggling to have any impact and aren't offering much in way of tracking back. The best of the bunch has probably been Bentaleb.

A lot of silly knee-jerk comments here. Veru good first 15, both goals were personal mistakes. Though the boys have lost heart, we still look better than I feared. Some more pep next half, and this might look god come 90, no matter what result we get.
The ex pros who are all non spurs who will never say anything negative about any fellow british player, especially Aaron Lennon who has been anonymous all game(par for the course with him even though he's been decent his last 2 appearances) besides for not bothering to track Drogba on his goal that Lloris should have saved? Those ex pros? Yeah, I couldn't gve lying fuck what they say about Lamela.
Lamela was the best of our AM3 that half. He actually worked hard and made some things happen. Eriksen and Lennon were anonymous. He also kept is simple and dint lose the ball that much. It is absolutely disgraceful the treatment he is getting. Shameful.

In fairness to him he's won a few tackles and broken up play a little bit at least, his passing has been poor but overall he hasn't been terrible

Yeah, I had the 3rd chance where he was one on one but was offside after being played in nicely from Lamela
