There'd no doubt be a Moutinho /Schneiderlin situation with him as well though

Forget Schneiderlin his agent apparently played a blinder for him with MU stelle wages more than evan Moutinho a couple of years back.

We are so far behind on wages its not true......

After yesterday's game, who here is that confident that we'll beat Everton next week? And if we don't things could start to go pear shaped very quickly.

Its got AVB written all over it IMO.

I'm not convinced by Poch by any means, but the likelihood that we will still have not addressed the gaps in our squad by next week's game is pathetic.
It's an absolute impossibility now that he'll have sorted out the gaps by next week. Even if he's bought a magical wish list of players by next week, they'll be unprepared & it will take at least a couple months to settle them into the squad, not s couple days

I disagree 100%.

Bad appointments by Levy again, the only time Levy has got it right is when he was forced to bring in Harry Redknapp.

So you think we have more than one pure striker? That we do have better and available options on the right? That Dier isn't a CB playing at CM just to cover for lack of quality in the squad? Haven't we been celebrating getting rid of Paulinho etc?

Poch is our man for better or worse. We cannot afford a mega manager because they will want a large war chest.
Our war chest is more a 'small fracas' chest, when compared to any of the top 4 and Liverpool.
I would one again prescribe a course of realism.

Did he ask for Baldini or for a DOF? And do we really know that he did ask for it and that it wasn't just some bullshit reply he had to give to the media after Baldini was appointed? Because it's very convinient that AVB wanted Baldini after we had been linked with Baldini before AVB was in the job.

AVB has stated that he did not chose the players and I belive him based on what we have seen through the years with Levy. We had plenty of ITK on how AVB was angry with Levy because of the players he was given.

Whoever wanted him both were bad appointments and lay at levy's door.

He does seem to want a young up and coming coach, sophisticated and who can work in the dof structure. Unfortunately these type of managers seem to piss off large parts of our squad.

We have 2 strikers had 3 last week, the manager doesn't/didn't want to work with them. The manager also sanctioned the sales of 2 CDM and Paulinho and left himself with the squad he currently has.

So one season is it then?....if he's not sorted it in one season it's p45 time?
No surprise other fans see us as fickle, and you're one of the more reasonable poster on here.
Fuck me.

But come on mate. You want to see something. Even if it's just a set piece routine. Even on the radio they were shocked at how poor we were. They blamed it on the weather except we all know different. I literally cannot see any improvement since he came in. If anything we have regressed. Pkaying one up against Stoke in the first game of the season with a pkayer like Kane at your disposal is not good even for a layman. The pkayers looke shocked when we scored. I don't see the goals we've scored as a tactical planned attack just a bit of skill from Kane to make space each time. Just like last season. Bringing in 3 players might help but it's a pure gamble. That isn't Pochs fault though.

The bigger plan / strategy is flawed, because a successful squad comprises balance of youth and hardened experience. It's the complete lack of experience and leadership in key areas is key contributor for our directionless formation and subsequently we are getting the results that reflects this.

Our current predicament has been caused by a collective of individuals not just the fault of one. The problem being is that appears all involved are as incompetant as each other

The fact is right before our eyes.... 2 pts in 3 games and that double pivot bull shit means we don't have the right players when the window closes. We play a Defender in the midfield and some of you claim it is progress? Bloody hilarious...

Poch has coach 3 clubs... Espanyol, Southhampton and Spurs. So i won't have high hopes... Tbh

So many go all around the houses pontificating about tactics, transfers and players in threads like this. Then show their true reasons for being in the forum/thread, by blaming Levy.

Can people stop saying we play a defender in midfield? Dier started out as a midfielder and played for sporting as both cb and dm.

Who did Harry, AVB and Tim manage it's a side issue.

People are disappointed and upset by the start of the season...but let some please grow up, we all would like better start but shit happens. Please stop overreacting after 3, yes 3! games.

But he's not a natural fit for midfield, we look less fluid with him in there and we don't look any better defensively for it.

I'd rather stick with Mason and Bentaleb than have Dier in there. He's a much better CB.

Then say i prefer him playing as a cb.

Has he been that bad though? Bentaleb hasn't been great this season and neither has mason. At the moment i'd rather alli and dier in mid. Hell other than them only chadli is scoring.

Despite he himself saying last season when played at RB that he was a CB and although CB was his position he was happy to play at RB to do a job for the club?

He could have played goal keeper in Portugal for all I care. The player sees himself as a CB but is just happy to do a job and play. For me that's all I need to hear to know he's being played out of position.

But it's not three games is it. Since the days of Harry, we've gone from free flowing attacking football that was a joy to watch, to turgid possession that's slow and quite dull to watch. We've bought very poorly and seem to have a transfer policy totally unsuited to life in the Premiership.

Firstly I would say the results haven't been so bad - disappointing yes but not terrible. If they were spread out over the season they would hardly register - we often lose at Old Trafford and struggle against Stoke - but the fact they are all compounded at the beginning of the season makes them feel worse.

But this relatively poor start has brought something to a head. Quite simply, we are not enjoyable to watch anymore. Certainly not from my perspective anyway. This is a serious blow for me because I watch football first and foremast to be entertained and of the last 50 or so matches I think perhaps I have enjoyed 4 or 5 of them. I don't doubt we are better organised now and harder to beat than we were 18 months ago but it has come at a price. And are those two big wins against Chelsea and Arsenal worth the countless mediocre performances that preceded and followed them.

I do agree there are some alarming similarities to the way we played under AVB - back then I hated how we transformed from being one of the most exciting teams to watch to one of the most boring teams to watch. This is also starting to feel a bit like Ramos and the infamous two points in eight games - the emphasis on fitness and youth, the perception we had appointed a man who really understood tactics, and of course the successful league cup campaign. I don't think it will get to that stage but Everton next week is now looking like a really big match.

Not all of this is Poch's fault. But I do hope he can find a way to get us playing better, more entertaining football.

He just isn't a natural there mate. He can't recycle the ball well enough and just looks awkward in possession which affects how we transition up the pitch. And we don't look any better defensively for it.

Honestly, I would prefer any two of Mason, Bentaleb and Dembele at the moment depending on whether we're at home or not and who the opposition are.

Harry is history! move on.
Yes we bought badly and 'everybody' knows this and is now trying to overcome those disastrous signings. It's no good crying over spilt milk, it is counter productive.

We need to up our game as fans!

Its really not an overreaction. Our play is getting worse, our attacks slower, and it was obvious what we needed to buy this window, and none of it has been addressed. There's been so many accessible players move this window that would've fit in well with this squad and improved it to another level, but they were ignored. Not even to mention our early targets Evans and Hernandez.:banghead:

This is all heading one direction IMO
