Walker today: 5 tackles, 2 interceptions, 6 clearances, 3 shots (2 on target), 1 chance created & 80% pass completion (from Windy)

Very good game and Rose too.

His best game of the season for me. Maybe that's no surprise that it's come against Villa but still, was very good. Same with Rose, can't believe how much he's matured as a player, he's looking very sure of himself.

Don't agree on Dembele. He was just a waist for me.
Dembele was a monster today. I lost count the amount of times he protected the ball from 3-4 players at a time. We were sloppy, but let's not forget that at this stage of the season playing the bottom three is very very tricky.

I know it sounds stupid but in a away I'm glad we didn't add any more goals. I do think you can use up your goals if that makes sense and you often find teams that have big wins struggle to perform and score in there next few games.

Not that far fetched really. Many times I've seen us slaughter a team only to have a drought in the following games.

Another win to take us 2 points off top of the league.
Now the highest scoring team .
Still the meanest defence.
Youngest team in the league.
And most of what I read in here is criticism of players and manager.
Get real guys ffs !

A win, is a win, is a win.

Points over performance at this stage of the season. Clean sheet, Kane with goals and Alli with assists.

What else is needed to go into the Bournmouth game?

Does anyone remember the old feeling when Spurs were 2 up? just waiting for the capitulation and to lose in style and like no one else could.

I've never seen it this good so I have zero to complain about

The match was easily won, well we needed to win and obtain another three points in the bag, to sustain our push towards a top four finish and we did just that.
Yes, one might argue that it wasn't the sort of high energy top performance we have now come to expect but on the other hand, we need to keep in mind that we are now entering the tail end of a very long season, where we have so far surpassed our pre-season expectations. This is the 'squeaky bum time' and it doesn't matter so much how we play but how we get more points on board.
The players have to preserve as much energy as they can. When results are secured, they don't have to over exert themselves, risk unnecessary fatigue, which will result in unwarranted injuries.
So, I would ask you to be wise and judge team results and not so much the performances.

You can still be critical in victory rather than just slaps on the arse. That's how you improve

I bet Poch will be quite critical of certain aspects of today's performance
