Much better in the 2nd half - I know Juve dropped off significantly, but lots to be positive about after the horror show in the 1st.
Winks, Lamela both great. Edwards will make an impact this season, I'm pretty sure of that.

Lamela and Onomah made a massive difference. Much better second half after a poor first.

Lionel Winks dancing through the defence there.
Enjoyed that second half.
Lamela was great. CBs settled in well after a shaky start. Yedlin looks well worth a place in the squad after last seasons loan spell. Edwards looks a huge prospect. Neat, tidy and not afraid to take a man on. Wanyama did well on his first appearance and Onomah was very good I though, driving us forward very well at times.
Promising performance.

Lamela looks utterly awesome, he is going to be huge for us this season, he looks a completely different player from a few seasons back, every single time he got the ball I felt like we were going to punish them.

Yeah, he can be tricky when he wants and has decent close ball skill. He's also nippy over a couple of yards but then seems to slow down instead of speed up.
Good squad player for sure.

What? They're all amazing and we are going to win the World Cup with them!!
But I agree. People are expecting them to come out and be world beaters on their first showing. They have a lot to learn but a game like that today will go a long way to pushing them to where they want to be

Shame about the start to the game, couldn't quite claw it back. We settled down and got more accomplished as the game wore on, particularly second half with the rookies on the pitch.
Lamela keeps on like this, I smell a PL player of the year in his future. Holy shit.
Yedlin, Winks, Edwards and Onomah looked really good. Miller looked good in the first half.
CCV came into the game and outside of the first 10' looked good, I thought.

Cheers. I have been working out recently tbh.
Not going to write anyone off because of a friendly, but if I'm allowed to read too much into it I think that we should be smart and get rid of Chadli and Mason as it seems like there are plenty of players availaible that can do what Mason does and Chadli, while he is a good player, is just too fucking frustrating whenever he goes missing.

Lamela especially looked liked the senior player and ran the game for us second half. Wayama too looked like a senior player so from that perspective happy.
Carter Vickers and Ball came back well after an horror start and stood up.
Onomah looks a lock stronger, bigger, and nice control, i just want him to do something with the ball, he looks a passenger at times, but i don't if that just a visual thing or him as a player.
Edwards, my first sighting of him. Exciting player.
Yedlin looks stronger and looks like fat sam as done a good job on him, have to see more of him.
A few of our senior players need to step it up a bit. Chadli, Mason and especially Son are capable players, but need to see more from them. Caroll i think gets a harsh deal. Makes things tick.
But whats with all the blond wigs in our side.
