He isn't yet but he has a big future ahead of him imoOh ye people are/were so quick to right off one of our own academy players, because it suited the notion that he was overrated. Yet when we sign someone people are happy to give them a year to settle to see how they do, but that doesn't surprise me with the youth players.
All anyone on this thread suggested was that he'd be good enough to play in the PL, be a squad player and potentially become top class, which resulted in indirect mocking in other threads laughing at the notion he could play in a top league, or was he even good enough for Championship. Careers are long and things can change for the worse but great to see that, as we said, if he were to be given a chance he'd prove himself in a top league.
Just a quick search of his name and you will see 'expert pundits' declare him not good enough, even though Poch wanted him to get a new contract. Lets hope he continues to do well, again will only be a good look for our academy. We now have 2 ex academy players doing well there.
Don't think he's at the level where we'd look to resign him he would have to do a lot more and continue to improve for us to spend money on him, though he could obviously play for us, but wouldn't surprise me in the future.
He is only 21, people want us to sign Keane yet he is 4 years older and when he was 20, no one was calling for us to sign him then? Worth remembering both of these players played in that U21 cup final 4 years ago at CB
