Has there ever been this much drama in signing a player that is destined to be on the bench wherever he ends up :ROFLMAO:
True but I think that people just want some better options from the bench when we are 0-0 or 1-0 up and are finding it hard to break down the opposition.

A lot of negativity. You don't score 15 goals in a very poor goal shy team by accident. In addition, swansea hardly play long ball football so he clearly gets into the right positions.

He is a quality premier league standard striker who will score goals.

Right, I'm stuck in South London, can one of youse lot get down Bullsmoor lane and barricade the way out of our training ground. This mustn't go all Willian.

I'm somehow very excited about Llorente, might be a very good signing

We needed a backup striker that can score. Llorente will score where ever he goes. Best case scenario is Llorente comes in, Janssen goes on loan and finds some form and then next year we have a seamless transition to Janssen becoming backup again but hopefully with more confidene

No idea how anybody could be against this signing. Apart from Utd when Ibra is fit and arguably Arsenal with Giroud, no club in the league will have a better striker as second choice to the main man (on the basis that most sides play 1 up top).

Better backup than Janssen. I'd feel confident with him starting in a way I never was with Vinny. I also think him and Harry could play together and we won't need to get him up to speed.

Finally some proper backup for Harry after years searching

Because he's not Mbappe. Who we definitely could have signed!

This is a very shrewd signing.

We're upgrading at the position when you consider that Llorente is an experienced, cultured footballer that has proven he can score goals in this league. Janssen is not ready to sufficiently backup Kane but Llorente would be. I'd be far more confident with 'Nando starting a game in place of Kane, if required.

VJ needs more time to adapt and this will allow for that.

Exactly what we need, someone who's proven in the EPL along with a bit of experience.
Reminds me of the Davids/Naybet signings.

Also need to think about Llorente's effect on our dressing room and what the others, Harry included, could learn from him. This guy has won Serie A and the World Cup.
