How many times has JJ said its NOT Mahrez :dead:
Okay with our window. I think we replaced some players with marginally better players, but they have to settle into the new team/league so ends up about par for this season perhaps. Better for next season as long as the team performs well so our other main players don't get unhappy. Definitely a bit bemused about the various sounds that were being made by the ITKs regarding pace and some other things, maybe we'll get a few snippets, maybe we won't.

Actually was looking forward to seeing Andre Gomes coming in, felt he seemed like a cultured and cerebral player and was interested to see what he could add to us.
Yeah, signing him now would just be to make sure no one else got to him in January. A lot can happen between now and then.
yeah either way like maybe his leg falls off or turns into spam

What's the difference - genuinely - between Barkley now and Barkley in January? Probably fuck all.

Lads, we've got a new striker. That never happens

Right off to bed, been a great window I think and have enjoyed SC as usual.
Just donated a tenner to show my gratitude for all the hard work it must take to look after this beautiful mad house, thank you.

I think so too. I'm also concerned that Everton's bargaining power may be greater than we think, due to the world cup. Ross has got to be desperate to get into that squad (in fact I believe it's probably the main reason he wanted to work with Poch in the first place). Is he going to be willing sacrifice the opportunity by sitting out the final months of the season if the Jan window goes similar to this one? You know Chelsea will make another bid, even if just to fuck with us.
Sign new contract at Everton?

The lack of a quick, direct WF who would give our counter-attack a boost is a disappointment, so too is Barkley (although I fully understand that scenario). However, going forward we shouldn't have to improve defensively for a few windows now, we appear to be extremely strong in this respect. Depth and potential clearly there. So if we look at the transfer window by a defensive stand-point it has been a huge success.

We've added a real quality alternative striker that takes the pressure off Kane and ensures he can be rested when needed and we can even go two-up top if chasing a goal. In that respect it's been a success.

Gards is saying Lamela is back later this month, whilst I think it'll take him a while to get up and running at least he will be with us again. I just worry about being without Alli for half of our CL games without any real rotation.

Such a shame we couldn't have pushed that boat out a bit further, always feels like we leave ourselves with a bit too much to do. I get we have limited funds but it seemed there was possibility to get 1-2 more in.

Some clever business for sure but not really giving Poch quite as many tools as some of the other managers have (like say Barkley and Sessegnon would have).

Up to Poch and the lads now, they are capable of big things. Fingers crossed on Rose and Lamela recoveries. Hopefully we can have a serious look at some reinforcements in January though.

This, check his goals out for Swans on YouTube. He has a bit of Berbs in front of goal with his feet. Cool as fuck.

Depends how you read it I guess? Horses for courses. I took it as he has read it was true and wanted to know why none of the wide forwards never happened. I'm sorry for causing conflicts, not meant (y)

No worries. To me the initial post seemed more an explanation as to why some people are disappointed with the correlation between what ITK suggested we would be signing and what we eventually did sign. The follow up was just a response to a deliberately provocative post.

Anybody suggesting that it was anything other than a bang average Spurs transfer window needs to take a smear test.

Think it was a good window, hardly any players needed shifting as opposed to previous years where it was carnage.
We've replaced well and Llorente could be a great buy!

I will say that we were just short of an AM, had potential to be a very very good window, not disastrous just a frustrating feeling of deja vu.

Hopefully next summer Levy forgets the last day rockstar bullshit and rounds the squad out as early as possible, that really has become tiresome.

No massive drama on out goings and we got a few in that will strengthen an already quality side It's a win for me.

6/10 window. Good, just. But not great in this case. That's fine with me for now.

Making several 8-figure signings is hardly conducive with building a new world class stadium.

For now stay patient as for us it's all about the long game, the calculated approach, doing it the right way. COYS.

Pretty much the same as most big teams this window bar city and maybe utd. Decent additions, but key positions unfilled.
