Because it's pretty clear not to rip into ITK and if you don't take everything with a pinch of salt, it's your own fault. It's people's way of politely telling you this before you get banned.
Sorry. It's just the stress and hope of 'ITK's promising a 'surprise' all summer for us to be let down.
I'm not disappointed by the signings but I am disappointed that nothing correlated with what they were saying.

They've gotta have a cut off point though. They wanted 50m at one point which went all the way down to 35m. We offered 25m, that's a hell of a big jump down from 35m. Seeing as he was heading to Chelsea before we basically tapped him up it had worked too.
They are going to get nothing for him next summer - they only have so much leverage, and his injury really cost them - they should have sold sooner, or held him out of training

You got some statistical evidence to back that up?

Its all a bit odd. We were in for Balde so obviously thought that position was something that needed strengthening and we end up with Llorrente, not saying he is bad player, he obviously scored the goals last season, but they are so far away from each other that it just doesn't tally up.

I've no complaints with the signings during this window and I'd reckon, overall, its better than last summer's TW.
Add to the shitty window for Arsenal and Chelsea, its makes it even better for us.

Llorente was likely an opportunistic buy. I would imagine we were still hoping to sign a wide forward with pace but just couldn't find the right deal. I think we probably really wanted Balde and his value probably met what we were looking for. Unfortunately, there's just not a lot of pacy, skillful wide forwards that would actually prove useful for a squad like ours. If we just wanted someone fast with some skill but a complete toss-up we probably would have gone back to France for a guy like Karamoh.

That's the way it works unfortunately. They were bloody good on most things this summer and it's worth not being a prick, because this website is better than trawling Twitter for shit from people like 'cal'.

My guess is that we were always eyeing another forward to replace Janssen, but this was option C in the list of priorities. Options A and B were Barkley and a wide forward. Nothing quite pulled off and as the final day came we decided to go for option C just in case. I reckon we were hoping to wrap up one of the other 2 positions earlier on in the window, or at least early on today.

I think Chelsea's poor window is being overstated. They had a bad last couple of days but overall, they had a good window. Morata is a good signing, Bakayoko is a tank (and over time, he will prove the better player than Matic, easily), Rudiger looks decent enough and Zappacosta/Drinkwater are decent squad signings.

Arsenal on the other hand? Trainwreck.

Maybe. But Balde fell through, what, a month ago, was he the only wide forward we had on the list, i just can't believe we couldn't find an alternative in that time.

Oosh bit of an anticlimax. Hopefully stadium money can really back us next season.

i'd say we've just about scraped the bare minimum of what is acceptable from this transfer window.

Disappointing. Really expected at least Barkley, and ideally Barkley and an exciting forward player.

At least we've replaced Walker properly and brought in a good CB.

I'd say if Toby signs a new deal and Barkley joins in Jan then we've done well.

The talk of another exciting forward player coming in completely under the radar seemed like fantasy to me.

The training team found sissoko had been wearing 2 right footed boots. I hope the guy improves this season.

He's not mocking though, is he? Bit of an over-reaction.
Depends how you read it I guess? Horses for courses. I took it as he has read it was true and wanted to know why none of the wide forwards never happened. I'm sorry for causing conflicts, not meant (y)
