The goal was inexperience on Sanchez's part. He thought he could just nudge Rondon, get in front and take the ball, he wasn't expecting Rondon to be such a tank. Next time he'll learn to just get tight and make sure the ball is blocked first.

No excuses for Alli, it was super casual.

Dortmund 4 up after 25 mins against Schalke and we’re already 1 down and half asleep still.

Actually might turn out to be a game for Llorrente and Kane. Would free up Kane to play a little bit.

It was a decent finish to be fair. I was just annoyed at Lloris not even attempting to save it. It was some distance from him but it was barely trickling. I think he could have got there if he really wanted to just sprinting after it.

Albion are looking really solid at the back, going to be a real challenge to break through.

To be fair, WBA's issue under Pulis was less being organised in the back and more their inability to attack in any meaningful manner.

Our own mistake fixed part of that...

Ben Forster wasting time at 18 minutes, that is absolutely shockingly sad and desperate.

Nothing different to most sides that play us at home.

You sense that the crowd and players think that is only a matter of time, but with seventy percent possession their keeper has yet to make a save.

Nothing to do with his head. Thats how he plays. He doesn't have good ball control and technique and always loses the ball, but it becomes more obvious when he is played in a deeper position
True.
What Alli does well and what got him his reputation was scoring goals with late runs into the box. That's his ´A´ game.
But he has been found out a bit this season and hasn't found his best position....nor has MoPo found it for him. He remains a work in progress - and needs to get his head down and work at getting better rather than thinking he has already made it - too many ineffective fancy flicks for my liking at the moment.
