Top three wil be Man City, Man U and Chelsea, in that order. When we play our best, we are better than both Man U and Chelsea, but they are more solid than us (this season). You can't drop points home against teams like Swansea, Burnley and WBA and expect glory. Sadly, I think we wont be playing in the CL next season.
We qualify as winners don't we?

I think if Pochettino has ambitions of going to a major club he is going to have to improve his tactical appreciation of the opposition and in game management. At home against the weaker teams you have to play the extra attacking player

People say we don't cross the ball once Llorente enters the fray, but that's not right. He doesn't put himself about. He thinks the fucking ball is just going to magically land on his head.

Yet you come on here with nothing constructive to say.
I’m always positive about Spurs. If we’re playing badly, I find something positive. I hate the kind of supporter that post nothing but negativity towards the team EVERY time they post. The only people that like or agree with them are like-minded people.

Does anyone else find it tediously boring every time we don’t win, the same old brigade come out and commit collective suicide. And start wetting themselves. I mean I hate us losing, but good grief people, get a grip,

So true. So many grown men unable to deal with disappointment so they start spouting absolute nonsense

West Brom were defending the depth of their area, pace wasn't necessarily the problem, more width. One more person says we lacked the pace of the likes of Rose or to a lesser extent Aurier - pace wouldn't have moved the two banks for the most part ...

It was a shit result, some of the tripe being posted currently, while every one is entitled to vent their opinion is a little bit predictable.

It's like one poster posting under numerous sign in's, funny as fuck really.

We're here as a counterbalance to all those who were performing fellatio on each other after we beat Real Madrid.

It's frustrating but I guess we all vent in a different way.

But I wouldn't worry to much about that.........It won't be long before the Poch out/has he taken us as far as he can threads start appearing and you'll be double cheesed off :D

I'm personally looking forward to the "I'm not saying poch should go but Sean Dyche is doing well at Burnley and Sherwoods win ratio was actually pretty good" threads.

Will be fun

With Trippier and Davies instead of Walker and Rose we have no width from our full backs and can't get in behind teams. Poch is a moron for dropping Rose.

Other than that we were lucky to get an undeserved point and will not finish on the top four with this squad.

What if the player has told Poch he wants out, in a similar way to Walker?

Would you still play him?

I believe that last Tuesdays game was Rose's first start this year, and likely he is being nursed back to full fitness. I would guess that had Rose started and pulled up with a hamstring, then equally it would be Poch's fault?

We had more than enough width to finish second last season with Davies and Tripper, and go undefeated at home. What we lack is any serious player competition for Eriksen, Dele and Son. Therein lies the key issue.

Walker was miles better, he could beat his man with pace and was an absolute beast defensively. Trippier has none of those qualitys.
Walker was on another level to Trippier. When the team is on fire Trippier and Davies get by but the way we play, Walker and Rose always offer us so much more as we need our full backs to run at teams and Davies and Trippier don’t/ can’t do that.

:arghh:

Hate anti football. But as long as it works teams will continue to park the bus and stick a big man upfront

Truth is, it could have been worst. Gutted.

2 points drop.

But we ought to be able to break that down. At the moment we can either get the ball wide and drill in crosses or shoot from distance.

We don't have the ability that city have to 1 touch pass through a tight defence. You can tell they work on their 1 touch passing in training and we need to do it more.

Essentially we need more variety in our attack, better movement and especially better set pieces.

Yeah but you cant generalise everyone that is making constructive comments about improving our performances as being negative.

By all means call out the posts you think are being over the top individually.

I'm bracing myself for the barrage, but for me the main culprit for our lack of proper penetration is Kane. Whenever he gets the ball, doesn't matter if it's 20 yards out or 5, he's gonna shoot. Today at least twice he had better placed partners who were running into the box unmarked, but he decided to shoot anyway. Sadly, he's putting himself first.
Look at Dele. He tries to find better placed people sometimes when he has a clear channel to shoot. I know that Kane is the dog's bollocks, and I love him to bits for the passion and skill set, but he needs to MATURE as a player. It doesn't always have to be him on the score sheet.
As far as our form is concerned, I reckon if things don't change soon, we may have to focus, and I mean seriously focus on the Champions League. Let me explain. In Europe teams will very rarely/never sit back against us. They will come to play. And when they open up, that is when we can slice into them. As per Real and Borussia. Those two outfits are no mugs, right? And we got 10 pts out of 12 against them. Call me crazy but I see us making history in the CL this year. Of course it's all down to the draw at the end of the day, but on our day, in Europe, we can beat ANYONE.

I never understand fans who are ALWAYS negative about spurs, it's meant to enjoyable. Enjoy it when it's good and deal with it when it's bad, some do it the other way round

Can't beat top teams away, can't beat teams who park the bus, this seems to be turning in to a bit of a problem.
When a top team parks the bus against us away that is a portent to the apocalypse...

You know that would be the first year that we finish sixth and they change the rules so the Winner doesn't qualify but the fifth placed team from the winner's country does instead...:dead:

Badly missing Wanyama, we need an honest report from the club as to what is wrong with him and when he will be back
We know Toby is out until New Year which is shit but we need Wanyama back badly.... not kept a clean sheet in last 3 games which is unusual for us

Defensive players are not the reason we are not breaking down teams like West Brom.. Levy and Poch need to invest in pace in attack. Salah, Mane, Sane, Stirling, Martial, Batshauyi, Lacazette are the level of attacking we should be buying. They don't come to sit on the bench they come in to challenge the players we already have. We also need a player like Mahrez to challenge Eriksen who has looked off the pace recently.

And yes if Bale is fit I would 100% pay £80 million to get him back as he definately has the abilty to break down packed defences
