Seriously, when Dele is available has Poch ever not picked him in any big game?

Dele will absolutely start.

You have got to play Lucas - perhaps at the expense of Son

Lucas is riding a wave and that wave may disappear by the final but I doubt it.

He played against Liverscum at Anfield and scored and actually played very well - didnt think they handled him well.

Just some thoughts.

It wasn't too long ago that Dele had one of his best games in a spurs shirt when he played CM against Liverpool. So I would be happy with him next to Sissoko.

Also, am I correct in thinking that we still share a record with Man United for winning at least 1 trophy every decade? This season being our last chance to maintain said record??

RB scares me. Trippier is a liability and is rightly being targeted. I would have Foyth in there, as Aurier won't likely be match fit.

Apart from that, Sissoko and Moura are musts. The rest sort themselves out.

My thoughts:
  • 3-5-2 has not worked in our games against Liverpool this season so we should play a 4-3-3/4-4-2 diamond
  • Poch needs to re-watch therecent match at Anfield and see what worked so well second half (apart from Lloris' gloves!).
  • Kane should not start as when he has come back after previous injury lay-offs it's taken him 3 or 4 games to look anywhere near his best - put him on the bench - would be a real lift to have him come on for the last 20 mins, especially if we need a goal.
  • We don't have many options in CM, but Wanyama and Dier have both looked well off the pace recently - can they get sharper in 3 weeks with no games? I'd go with Dier as he is less wasteful in possession and Wanyama was horrendous against Ajax.
  • There's no way Aurier is getting back and match fit for the CL final after not playing for so long.
  • Mane 1-on-1 versus anyone is a nightmare waiting to happen - whoever plays RB needs massive support from Sissoko.
  • Foyth did a great job nullifying Sterling against City in the league, so may opt for him at RB even though he offers less going forwards than Trippier - if we need a goal late on this is an obvious sub opportunity.
  • Dele showed second half against Ajax that he is much better advanced as a second striker, and was unlucky not to score and also set up two of Moura's goals. Recently we've been playing Eriksen further up the pitch with Dele as a deeper CM and that cannot happen in the final.

It's normal to be nervous but remember, these are the nights you live for.

Whatever happens in Madrid on June 1st, we can be immensely proud of this team. They gave me the best night of my life in Amsterdam and certainly many others too.

One thing I like about the CL is that you can't be robbed through a bad decision, because of VAR.

Let's give it our all and see what happens.

Don't know about that. What about the penalty City got against us in the first leg. Total bullshit!

I'd be very tempted to start Winks & Kane but I'm not sure how fit they'll really be and you don't want to disrupt the teams rhythm. Fantastic options to come off the bench. Kane's presence will be essential. I don't want Trippier starting but again I doubt Aurier's fitness. The rest of the team picks itself really.

A minor point but one of those subs wont even make the bench

Imagine a player scoring a hat trick in the CL semi final and then getting dropped for the final!
