Listening to Radio 5 live the last hour and they’re absolutely gutted he’s coming to us. Marcotti can’t or is refusing to believe it. Chappers the only one who seems to be enjoying it. Micah Richards just can’t understand why he’d come to us, I think he’s a bit simple.
I don't understand why he would come to us other than a massive pay check. As a manager, I wouldn't trust Levy.

Prof from COYS on background to Nino sacking
”Discussions about his fit for the club started right after the NLD. They started quietly feeling out possible replacement options after the vitesse/spammers blunder. United game sealed the deal.”
The final straw was when Prof banned levy from COYS for saying that Nuno was a "bloody good man".

Levy couldn't prove that he it wasn't a threat of violence after using the word bloody.

That sealed nunos fate.

To be fair he was lucky to survive the NLD, but what saved him was it was so early in the season. That ''performance'' was appalling.
Especially seen as a new coach should be able to organise/galvanise/show something in a big derby early on. You should not be losing a derby in that fashion and looking like you've lost the players that early on. The fact it came after two other derby crushings was very alarming indeed.

I reckon had we played WH after that and lost they would have pulled the trigger then.

There aren’t actually that many elite club options in world football. Assuming he wants a job outside Italy, where’s he going? Most big jobs are simply unavailable. If United aren’t keen then we are essentially his best bet. He may not want to sit around unemployed for years like Poch, waiting for the perfect job (which might never come).

Real Madrid didn't get him, Barca obviously wouldn't appoint him, United seems to be sticking with Ole for whatever reason. What other jobs are there? It might simply be that he wants to get back to work and we are the best option available. His history with Paratici is also obviously a factor.

I think this is where people project their own opinions based on very little information. I mean DL has obviously fucked up quite a bit recently, but there are very few, if any, ex managers who have a bad word to say about him. At the end of the day he’s running a football club and has to make some tough decisions, it would appear that people in the game accept this and hold no grudges...unlike fans.

Obviously all the stuff in the summer about messing Conte around just wasn’t true.

That makes sense. I’m pretty sure we had itk that week that his job might be in trouble.

But you ain’t manager or board member, funny enough all PL team trusted Levy and elected him to represent them in Europe but average fan know better.

I would point at 14 managers since he took over. Our net spend is low over that time. A mix mash of managers that show no consistency in the type of manager appointed. Commercially he is fantastic, but footballing side he can blow hot or massively cold.

to be fair, most people thought this when Jose came in, did not happen. Do not get your hopes up with Levy in charge
Yeah I do think we need to calm down a bit.

I imagine Conte has come with guarantees but let's see how January goes.

Conte is notorious for being impatient with signings, if it's late January and we are dragging our feet you'll hear explosives.

A lot of people were saying trophies were a guarantee with Jose, and how did that turn out.

I'm expecting much better performances and a clear plan but we have to see what January will be like.

I'm going back to the UK for xmas and I was dreading watching the games with my dad, but now I'll be thoroughly looking forward to the Xmas period of football. Hopefully Conte gets us further up the table so we can start to look forward.

Incidentally, the last time I was at home for xmas (15/16) was the period Poch started to really make strides, we won some very good games and Arsenal had a collapse after being top.

I think its safe to say that any player we buy in Jan that ends up good will be praise for Conte, and any player we sign that doesn't end up good will be Levy is clueless.
