Only one way this is going; we've had a horrid time against Chelsea, Southampton and Wolves; City meanwhile look unstoppable, seems inevitable really, has to be a comfortable 3-1 to Spurs

He's also started in our last 3 where we have lost, been overran in the midfield and been outperformed each time. We were also losing 2-1 when he came off in the Leicester game. In fact the only game where winks has started and we've been winning when he leaves the field is the 2-1 vs Leeds.
which is more due to the flawed system we're playing, rather than it all falling down because of winks' presence. also, we may have been losing at leicester when he went off but despite everyone's pre-match protestations that a midfield of winks/hojbjerg/skipp was the worst thing ever created, they actually allowed us to control the vast majority of that match.

if we go there with a 343(which in reality quickly becomes a 523) then it doesn't matter who you put in the middle two, no cm pairing will cope when they're so massively outnumbered. all that happens is we end up with a flat back five sitting on top of lloris and a front three that you can throw a blanket over .. but then why look elsewhere when we can just pin it all on harry winks.

It's not all falling down because of Winks, he's just one factor that is below the line.

If Conte wants to play two CM's then I don't think I can find a logical reason not to trust him, he is one of the best managers in the game and if we're playing two CM's and losing games then I'm going to put some of the blame on the two CM's because Conte thinks we can win playing that way.

The truth is we are unlikely to beat City away whoever and however we play. Winks won't make a difference either way to that but if we decide to play a two, I just hope he isn't in it.

Aside from the Winks or no winks issue, the thing which worries me mostly about out impending trip Saturday, is our wing backs. Most of City's attacks come from wide positions (or a good proportion of them) and as we all know by now, our wing backs/full backs or whatever you want to call them, are all crap. None of them could top a fart, let alone a clutch of marauding City attackers on top of their form, and who dominate possession.

I just want to say I've already resigned myself to another x-rated performance but secretly, I'd love to be surprised by Spurs at least causing them a few problems in their defence, where I've always felt they were vulnerable when under serious attack.

I want the nature of our last two shocking performances to hurt our players mentally and I want to see some sort of positive reaction. City will be rubbing their hands together right now. I bet they can hardly wait to give us a real hiding having watched our performances against Southampton and Wolves.

Like I said previously, this is one of those games I'll be watching through my fingers. We're probably going to lose but I'd love us to give them a real game at least.

I'll be watching at the start as usual. Doubt I will be watching at the end, City go two up and it's TV off for me

We haven't got any. Well none who are good enough anyway.

I think it might soon be time for Lucas or Bergwijn to be given a go. But probably not against City, then then as you imply, who are going to be the lost causes this time?
So depressing its come to this. 70m plus on four players, not one who is good enough
Could probably play Paskotsi and Lavinier and they'd do no worse
Just one almighty mess, how can our recruiting be so wrong so often
