How is that first goal a 'counter attack'? LOL.

It comes from our keeper playing out from the back.

Just a brilliantly direct goal.

It’s probably been said but…I know we were excellent but fuck me City are SO bad defensively. 7 clean sheets in the last 10 apparently.

Playing this city team is a total mental battle. If you’ve got the nerve to push them back, they can’t actually defend well.

so so so true, mentality is everything. I know it helps when you’re protected by the refs but look at the scousers, they expect to win every game and play as such, even when they go behind.

Some people need to check their half time comments and see how embarrassing they are. Too many fans are far too fickle, slagging off half the team at half time (Mostly Lloris) then praising his class save in the second half and praising the whole team once we've won. Thats not what being a fan is. Fans like this just make themselves look like bellends at full time.

Brilliant performance.

For those that slated Lloris after the first half, suggesting he’s finished. He was magnificent in the 2nd and was massive for our win.

Careful what you wish for.

Didn’t watch the game but tracked progress through Twitter. Amazing how many fans take the piss out of a team with “11 players behind the ball” type comments when said team is in a winning position. I’d call that disciplined

I thought Bentacur was very good over all. Had the ball nicked of him a couple of times but he really covered the ground and was very good.
That little cruyff turn inside the penalty area was sublime. People will say that it was risky but it was more risky to try and smash it away as he was being pressed.

He did lose the ball but he's adjusting to the energy of the league.

I don't mind if he costs us a couple of goals over the course

People talk about how great we were on the counter, but none of the goals were counter attacks really.

It’s nights like this that makes the drop off in performance in others games so painful. We believe because we know we can be so much better. Conte needs to bring the consistency of performance that Poch had achieved. Pride follows. After that, we can finally build again.
this may sound odd...
I do feel today was in direct response to our last two defeats. Win those , today may have not happened. Everyone needed to turn up including Conte with the selection.

As in they have kept 7 clean sheets out of the last 10 games, and that’s considered poor defensively? Or did I misinterpret your comment? I would have thought that not conceding a goal in 7 out of 10 would be considered as very good, if not excellent defensively? Sorry if I misunderstood.
