Just a shocker all round.

Boro wanted it more and fully deserved it. That said it was there for us to get through also, typically for our luck Son had an absolute shocker. Wish the players were as desperate for trophies as they say they are.

Squad depth has come back to bite us big time with the injuries to Lucas, Bentancur and Skipp leaving us really light.

One step forward and two steps back at the moment. Just need to get our heads down and go again next game.

No doubt some of them just aren't good enough. We all know that. Midfield was non existent both from an attacking and defensive pov. That's what sets the tempo of the game and with PEH running round like a headless chicken and Winks doing nothing at all, and I'm not exaggerating that, he literally did nothing for 2 hours. You have no chance at all. I know others were shit, but as I say the midfield is where you win and lose games and that pairing is abysmal.

Skipp and Bentancur can't get back soon enough.

You say that but why not do something different, is that not what conte earns the big wages for?
Bring son off who couldnt hold the ball up for the life of him today and stick a 3rd man in midfield like white just to see what he can do at this level. Hell even young alfie would have struggle to play as badly as winks did today.

Man for man we are better, change from our reindent formation, tell player to go out and beat them. We shouldn’t be setting up that way, control the ball and bully them. Look no win is guaranteed I get that, but I don’t get what’s to be gained from how we set up today.

Several of us said after Jose was sacked that it doesn't really matter who is in charge. Until this squad is overhauled then the inconsistent performances and results will continue and we have to suck it up for the foreseeable future

It hasn't helped that we fudged our managerial search in the summer and consequently bought players (Romero excepted) for a coach we sacked after a few games.

2 quality young players have come in. Another to come in the summer along with hopefully a few more and we may start to see the shoots of recovery.

No choice but to remain patient and trust in Paratici and Conte to do what's required.
