Surprised to see people having a pop at our players, well I suppose I shouldn't be, but we've not been bad this half and can certainly claim to have been the better side away at Manchester United which ain't bad. Hoping for a bit more precision in attack this half and we can win this. Shame about Ronaldo.

Just my overall impression. You mean playing them onside for the 2nd goal? It's not a mistake that makes a player shockingly bad imo. Just very unfortunate that his foot happened to be forward when a pass was played on the other side.
He was the only one who didn't move forward despite having a view of the whole line. It's unforgivable. And his overall performance today hasn't offered anything. Can you point me to what he did particularly well in that half?

Got to happen sooner or later

Long way back for Spurs?

Manchester United are unbeaten in their last 114 Premier League matches when leading at half-time (W97, D17) dating back to their 5-3 defeat at Leicester in September 2014.
United have never lost a home Premier League game when leading at half time (P301 - W278 D23 L0).

Doherty has been poor defensively imo. Sancho has got behind/passed him far too easily.

A sloth v the road runner will 9/10 have the same outcome… road runner will have the sloth on toast.

Doherty for me has been alright, certainly not repeating the horrendous performances we were subjected to pre his recent improvements.

Dier however has been poor and Reguilon dreadful. Given Dier is on a yellow I would as per Romero on Monday take him off.

The frustrating thing is we've been the better side.

Massive team talk from Conte ..send them out to win

They are there for the taking, we just need to believe. We can do this, they have scored totally against the run of play

Reggy not holding the defensive line on the far side of the field is one of the worst defensive errors you can make in football. Everyone else held the line and he had a clear view of it all. He has to do better.

Agree. Its scandalous defending

Thought we were the better team that half but Ronaldo has decided to put in some effort today rather than stroll around. Kulu very impressive.
I didn’t. think we were better.
What did we really create, a soft Dier header from a corner and that was about it, and a referees decision (my view both were pens, or neither were really, but VAR would go with ref on both incidents)
If this was other way round with us allowing them the ball, we would just say we are playing well, and looking at hitting them on the break, that is what they are doing.
Some of you may perceive we are playing well, but in reality they are allowing us the ball, and we aren’t good enough to do much with it.

Hoping Conte has fergies hairdryer and blasts our boys. We’re just a slight degree or two off. Always enjoy and feel we do better playing left to right from tv POV. See doc assisting this half. Let’s put it up ‘em boys

Or no one was to blame it was just a brilliant strike...
It was a brilliant strike but Dier was like a statue and Ronaldo was hardly going to pass in that position. He should've closed him down the second he got the ball.

We need to be more positive around their box and start getting some more shots in.

I think people are being a bit harsh on our defense in general. Sure, Dier could have positioned himself better for the first goal but it was a cracking strike from a nothing-situation. Reggie was half a step too slow in moving up from a position where he had the least vision. The big mistake was not tracking Cristiano as he was too sure of the offside call.
We should have done better on both occasions but calling them dreadful defending is a bit hyperbolic IMO.

On the other hand, I guess that defending almost flawlessly is perhaps a must when playing against Ronaldo in an important game.

Fucking brilliancr FFS. Any professional footbaler should be hitting the target there without any pressure
Like it or not, it was a great strike... Agree there should have been pressure but he still has to strike it and he did.
