Martin Atkinson spoke to him after one 'clumsy' challenge with 4 mins to go. Wonder whether he said 'I know what you're up to'??!!

palacios seems to fuck up passes that are premeditated, if its one touch stuff without time to think hes much better
I agree, much more an instinct player than a tactical mastermind, and i think Luka is the same. When under pressure they both seem to thrive but, given space and time, they often fluff the pass/cross, strange that

The last few minutes were hilarious, I've never seen someone try so hard to get booked.

Stupid referee, not booking him.

i would play gud and thudd again

nooooooooo gud is a good option as a change but give the opposition chance to set up a team knowing they are facing him from the start is a bad idea.

cause if he then gets booked in the semi he misses the nld and chelsea games, if he got booked in the nld he misses chelsea and united. they were trying to manage it so he missing when we want him missing.

alternatively this injury he allegedly has is gonna keep him out so they figured he may aswell be suspended.

the injury would be the only justifiable reason. We shouldnt get caught thinking ahead.

Simply because the game after is the FA Cup Semi and if he gets booked in that game he will miss BOTH the Scum and Chelsea matches. It's very stupid that he didn't get booked. If he is carrying an injury these next 2 games he would have been suspended for would have been ideal time to rest.

The ruling states that any player who receives 10 bookings before the 2nd sunday in April gets an immediate ban....Does that include picking up a 10th yellow on the 2nd sunday in April...I don`t know:shrug:

Yes it does.

As it was specified in parentheses for (i) that any First Team Competitive Match is to be included, the same should also apply for (iv)

For all the criticism of the guys passing, he has a better pass completion rate than Carrick and Barry this season. Lousy passers of the ball that they are.

One of the funniest things ive seen on a football pitch. He hacked down murphy, then charges into konchesky from the resulting free kick, tried to chop down Dempsey, who then had a go at him and then charged Murphy when he took the corner in the last minute.

I don't agree with him doing it as he has proved capable of being disciplined in the last month of so, but if you're gonna do it, at least make it as funny as that!

Right at the end he was even having a laugh with Gomes about trying to get booked and not succeeding

Redknapp gives Crouch instructions, immediately as Crouch runs back to help defend a set piece, he grabs Wilson and whispers him something. Hmmm was this from arry, "crouchy tell the guvnor to get booked" me thinks it was. Cos the next 3 or 4 balls to their players that went near Wilson he was running over and diving in or following through, but couldn't get booked!! ha ha watch the last 5 mins again if you didn't see it. Funny sh*t

WEMBLEY COYS
He is so bloody honest and model pro that he couldnt even get a deliberate booking! This man is a LEGEND

I think, as punishment for his awful first half performance and general poor showing in the previous game, Ekotto should be locked in a room with a Palacios who hasn't been fed in 2 days, having been locked in a cage and repeatedly prodded with hot pokers, hands tied behind his back while being forced to watch porn.

What I want to know is how he has still managed to perform to his high standards, especially at Fulham where he was our midfield bulldog, yet hasnt picked up a yellow!!

Actually ...

well before I go on, let me say I know bugger all about FA regulations, and as my Keano post illustrates, even less about SPL. Nevertheless ...

... it could be argued that the inclusion of the parenthetical phrase in subclause (i) versus its omission in subclause (iv) is an indication that the said parenthetical clause does NOT apply to subclause (iv) and that the common English interpretation of "between" should apply.

I fully realise that sounds really anal, and I apologise accordingly
