Modric and GDS only contribute to our 'soft centre' (why do I get the feeling this phrase is going to tire...oops, too late) if we play them in the middle. Playing either or both as wide or as number 10, would be fine, I guess. So it would make no sense to move them on.

As ever, we'll only move on players that will make a good profit - that's down to Levy rather than BAR.

As for coming in, yes, I bet we'll see CBs, DMs, etc linked, as well as the usual array of strikers. Diarra seems very likely. But perhaps players he has used elsewhere, too. I wonder about his old West Ham days...dear God, is nothing going to stop these 'Kanoute returns' rumours...?

If you think BAR is not going to want African players in the side, I'm afraid you're very much mistaken. If there's one type of player Our 'Arry loves, it's the big athletic lads. Even more than Wenger. Although admittedly not quite as much as SK.

Nobody loves athletic Africans as much as Spursking. I wonder if he'll ask for Mr Redknapp's email in order to talk teambuilding with him.

Poor black africans who live in mud huts play better football than pasty white english lads who spend all there time inside house's made of bricks and mortar playing on their xbox.

I've either paraphrased Harry Redknapp who made something up, but I'm sure he said something along these lines.

So much for getting rid of Zokora.

Well he asked about it from Mr. Jol DC and Arnesen but never got answer back, maybe Harry isn't interested neither

There are those highley respected ITK from deep within White Hart Lane, namely myself, who swear that it was SK's email to Arnesen that actually scared him so much that he jumped to Chelsea, not the higher salery and less of a workload that Levy would want us to believe.

Diarra and Krancjar in from pompey.
plus a proven premiership player to partner Woody, i reckon Sammy Hyypia.
Michael Owen would suit the way harry likes to play, taking Defoes role and Pav taking Crouches
players out, Ekkoto and Jenas

Just please do NOT get rid of Modric or Santos. Modric will prove himself as a brilliant playmaker if he gets a brute looking after him in the middle and give Santos 1 season and he will be brilliant for us.

I don't think its about 'looking to move forward', 'the next level' etc etc.

This is about survival and not the champagne signings of the summer which admittedly got me hooked like most other Spurs fans. We don't need any more Modric/Bentley/Dos Santos', we need proven, solid premiership players who will keep us in the league. Then and only then do we need to think about building up to the level we were under Jol. It's ironic that 2 players that fit the mould perfectly are Steed and Tainio - why did we ever let them go?[/quote]

That's what I've been saying since the transfer window. We should also have brought back Mendes for £3m. We have too many 'luxury' players (Jenas, Giovani, Bentley, Modric) who would probably look good in a top side but aren't the players you need in a struggling team.

On the bright side we have a lot of exciting younger players (Bale, Gunter, Bostock, Perrett, Rose, Townsend, Berchiche) but they need some solid premiership players to help bring them through.

Parker and Upson have been mentioned in the press. I hate to suggest it but Barton anyone?

Finally! A manager with Prem experience

We all know 'Arry loves his grafters and will look at players already proven in the league before he looks elsewhere so who do you think Redknapp will be keeping an eye on?
