Ok then.

Harry has already said we have a soft core, and no doubt Levy will have promised him funds in January. So who do we think he will bring in?

No doubt the CM position will be a definite, and more than likely a LW and a FW. From Pompey's squad (with their need for cash) I'd take Diarra. The whole Defoe situation is quite funny, and a possibility. I was more of a Keane fan but with the way things are I would take Defoe home.

Plus, who would Harry want shot of?

One player I don't think will hang about will be Gio De Santos. I just have the feeling, being everything but Spanish, he was a Ramos signing and that under a scruffy English manager with the skin complexion similar to one of Netty's leather handbags, I think he may well be on his way home claiming homesickness.

What do you guys think?

Will pompey be willing to do business with us? They may look at what sevilla did to us and copy their actions? They shouldnt as we've had a good relationship with them over the past few years transfer wise.

Diarra would be excellent, defoe back would be hilarious.

I hope harry gets shot of the following players:
-bent
that is all

Maybe jenas will finally fulfil his potential?

Its going to be a ride!

I think it has been fairly well played out with Pompey. They need the cash.

I can't think who he'll dump as I think he'll like a lot of the squad & it's got to be the best he's inherited. He needs to get us going, get us scoring & bring in a few players in January.

Diarra and Defoe are the only Pompey players we should take if we're really looking to move forward (and continue buying big).

I do hope Gio stays as I think under the right manager he will really flourish!

Dos Santos may want out, but then Harry might get him playing well, so i think it depends more on how he does under Harry.

Can't see any others really wanting out now though.

Payers he'd want rid of - likely that he'll want to get some steel in midfield (think he's already mentioned this in a SSN interview tonight) so let's hope he get's in Diarra, or maybe the couple of players he was after in the summer but couldn't get the funds for.

I don't think its about 'looking to move forward', 'the next level' etc etc.

This is about survival and not the champagne signings of the summer which admittedly got me hooked like most other Spurs fans. We don't need any more Modric/Bentley/Dos Santos', we need proven, solid premiership players who will keep us in the league. Then and only then do we need to think about building up to the level we were under Jol. It's ironic that 2 players that fit the mould perfectly are Steed and Tainio - why did we ever let them go?

We have all heard that Gio can be quite arrogant. So from playing under big names like Rikjaard and Ramos, Redknapp may not cut his mustard.

i think gio is the kind of player harry has wet dreams about, i also believe a big team will snap defoe up, he is not dumb enough to sign for a Levy project again. i think harry will bring Mido back, and if he gets him first, we could get zaki too, which obviously means ghaly staying..duh..

the way other players at pompey like kaboul etc have spoken about harry, gio may really flourish with his hands on father like managerial style. I hope he stays!

No way Kaboul will come back...& that can only be a good thing. I think it's a case of who's hiding in the reserves that we can use & which players from other non Pompey clubs we will sign.

I think we might see Bostock making a few trips to the bench very soon.

The thing I like about Redknapp is he knows how to put a team together but he also allows the flair players the freedom to do what they can.

I hope he can bring in Diarra and possibly Defoe. I'm not going to 2nd guess on who might stay as sometimes the guy who comes across really well can be an a*****e in real life and vice versa.

I think Levy's got to give him a budget & let him get on with it. We're back to the 90s...although hopefully with a Jol era atmosphere & playing ability.

Cue reasons from Levy to start flogging players like GDS & Modric for major profits because 'they dont fit into our managers plans - due to being too small and lightweight & contributing towards our soft center'.
