Carrick, Defoe, Carlton Cole and Diarra in......Jenas, BAE, Bent, Dawson out.

I'm not convinced we'll see much change. I think one of Harry's qualities is to get the best out of what he's got to work with.

saying that if we get Diarra, then Zokora may be off. Not convinced he will stand by Jenas as other managers have either. I think both Bentley and Lennon will stay and I honestly believe that Harry can get the best out of Darren Bent in the same way he's got the best out of JD too. Both struggled with the style.

What changes to the team do you expect?

Aye. Anything from formations and the squad, to captaincy. Anyone think we'll possibly bring a couple of players up from the reserves now, possibly Rocha and Dervitte, maybe even Ghaly?

There's still a long way to go untill the January window, there's a lot of work to be done between now and then. I think it's a given the team will be altered slightly, but in what ways?

Awww. I love the excitement though. It's gotten to me as well.

Not so much excitement as 'Just up 10 mins ago, hazy eyed posting'

Anyway, let's get this on track or a mod will wander in and shut the operation down.

Mendes, Pamarot, Davis, Defoe...proof positive that he can work with what he's got.

Whoever we bring in will be a bonus. We need squad improvement, sure. But with Gomez, King, Woody, Hutton, Bale, Corluka, Bentley and Modric the basis is there for a good team. I'm even convinced that we'll start to see the best of Lennon and Jenas again. In the short term, i'm pretty happy that we'll sort ourselves out.

Ok then.

Harry has already said we have a soft core, and no doubt Levy will have promised him funds in January. So who do we think he will bring in?

No doubt the CM position will be a definite, and more than likely a LW and a FW. From Pompey's squad (with their need for cash) I'd take Diarra. The whole Defoe situation is quite funny, and a possibility. I was more of a Keane fan but with the way things are I would take Defoe home.

Plus, who would Harry want shot of?

One player I don't think will hang about will be Gio De Santos. I just have the feeling, being everything but Spanish, he was a Ramos signing and that under a scruffy English manager with the skin complexion similar to one of Netty's leather handbags, I think he may well be on his way home claiming homesickness.

What do you guys think?

Diarra was my first thought (other than how gutted Defoe must be!) and would be class. I'm instantly lifted by the fact Harry has identified our most obvious weakness and will have the power to bring in the man he wants to fix it!

As for GDS, I completely disagree with you, he's exactly the kind of player Harry has done great things for in the past. His influence in the West Ham golden generation can't be underestimated and, while Gio might be thinking "who?!" I have a feeling he'll do well under Redknapp.

I'm quite happy this morning, if completely stunned!

I can't see Harry buying back all of the 'Spurs rejects" somehow. I think he will firstly instill some steel and determination into the team. The dressing room will no doubt be a bit livelier now!

I think he may well be able to get the best out of JJ and Lennon and should also be able to Bentley back on track. I would also like to see if he can get some progress out of Taraabt et al.

He will, no doubt, be able to identify our weak areas very quickly (if he doesn't already know) and will look to fill them quickly in January with established prem players.

As for existing Portsmouth players I do think he may look to bring Defoe back (and I believe he would want to come back). However, I dont think Defoe will ever work well with Bent but possibly with Pav. I also wouldn't be surprised if he tried to bring Kaboul back as well. Diarra would be a great signing but don't know if it would happen.

No doubt, whoever he bring in, whether from Portsmouth or elsewhere, he will look for established premiership players and will try to keep the squad fairly British.

Any incling of how much we will have to spend in Jan. Sacking Ramos and co and compensating Harry (and a new no. 2?) will cost us £25m ish. I'm sure Levy will make funds available if it is likely to ensure survival. But last night's decision was a big hit financially.

Spurs will not end up paying these guys till the end of their contracts .

There will be exit clauses in all the contracts which can be exercised by either party

In all probability Ramos was not enjoying it in UK and when interest in him was being shown by other clubs it presented a perfect way out for all concerned .

He won't be out of a job for long .

Let's not get carried away ........too soon. I am glad that Levy and the board saw sense at last and moved to try and rectify the mess we find oursllves in sooner rather than later. I just hope it isn't too late.

We still have to be patient and support 'ARRY to get us sorted out. We have to give him TIME !!! Don't expect everything to happen quickly. There are a lot of things he has to correct, so as I said we just have to support him and the PLAYERS........ starting against Bolton. We need to show that we still have faith in the lads and give them all the vioceiferious and unconditional backing at The Lane today. If we don't do this we would also have to be blamed of failure. COYS......COYS......COYS.

As for ins and outs, let us leave it in 'ARRY's hands........but I reckon he will add some muscular beefy steel, as we must acknowlege that we lack that in our current squad.

Meanwhile...............I will wait and see and believe................
WE WILL RISE AGAIN. COYS.

Diarra and Defoe are the only Pompey players we should take if we're really looking to move forward (and continue buying big).

I do hope Gio stays as I think under the right manager he will really flourish!

Why should they come ??
