Welcome to the Arsenal Vs Spurs Match Thread! COYS!

We want to bring the joy back into match days as these threads have just become full of over the top from at least a handful of posters. While we understand and have the same frustrations on the team and the performances the constant beating on the same players for just being picked is tiresome the same with going over how we didn't get more players in during the transfer window. We would rather not limit peoples access to this thread, so please before you hit post just read your post back...

STREAMING SITES

We cannot allow the posting of links to Streaming sites/apps and as a result of that do not allow posts asking for them as they invariably result in someone posting a link. Please do NOT hint at having, post or ask for links to streaming sites. The latest 'clever' way around this is to drop hints. That'll have to stop too I'm afraid as again, it results in people posting links.

With the Man City game being postponed, this will the biggest test as to where we are in the grand scheme of things. Beating Arsenal would be making a big statement, but we must improve significantly in our performance , for in my opinion, we have been lucky with most of the results so far.

Its weird given how early in the season this comes, but it feels like a huge game. Both of us having had very good starts to the season but them having looked more convincing in their wins.

Would absolutely love to win this away and lay down a marker.

They've hit their stride straight away and we're still miles off imo. Where we have a big advantage is size and physicality, so I hope we use that to our advantage. I'd like to see 3 in CM to try to stifle their passing game and allow us to press and compete for 2nd balls for a change. To achieve that I'd put Kulu at RWB in place of Emerson so we don't lose that edge and rely on a CM covering defensively a bit more. Will be very surprised if it's not the established XI though.

Think we all know that this early on, this is a big game and a big opportunity to make a market on the rest of the season.

They’ll beat us at the library (which unfortunately will sound anything like one!) and we’ll stuff them at WHL

Nothing will change. The scum will think they are amazing but will be unable to maintain their position due to all the fixtures coming up

PepLight is a delusional fruit loop and has neither the squad or know how to juggle playing 2/3 games a week

I think yes and no really. Losing a derby such as this away from home won't define where we are as a side IMO. In fact as much as I hate to say it I can easily see us losing this fixture as we rarely turn up at the Emirates. Not only that but I think we have certain holes and shortcomings in the side that need to be addressed regardless of the result.

I'm feeling pretty pessimistic with this one if I'm completely honest and I think that is partially because our football of recent hasn't been the most convincing really. Although in saying that in previous years we've looked like a side who should go there and turn them over only to play like absolute shit and be turned over ouselves so maybe that doesn't mean as much either.

Hate the away NLD. Always play poorly and never get a result so can’t say I have much hope of us getting anything this weekend.

I’m sure we won’t have much of the ball which won’t do my nerves any good but hopefully we can be strong defensively and get some joy on the break. Son potentially entering a hot streak is needed as White at RB could be where we get some joy.

These are the fixtures that we brought Conte for. Fed up of us turning up at the emirates, Stamford Bridge and Old Trafford and just rolling over and getting our tummies tickled.

Early kick off which is never great for us. I'll be content with a draw. Their lot will be well up for it but as Conte says... we got to suffer a bit. Our bench will have more quality so can see them getting ahead and we peg it back late on.

They then push for the winner and we hit them with a quick transition on the counter.

Result for them to win at home is massive for more pressure than us having to go there to win. We tend to lose their anyway so whats achievement for them turning us over. It’s so early in the season in a funny way it’s only bragging points. Saying all that if we turn them over that’s a massive statement.

I wouldn’t mind Richy getting the nod to start at CF in this one to harry and press Arsenal’s defence relentlessly.

I can’t believe I’ve supported Spurs for 17 years and I’ve seen one PL win at the Emirates, one at Stamford Bridge and one at Anfield.
