not for 90 minutes, they need points... but it's a bit "dead man walking" for them now
They will look for chances on the counter, we have the best defence in the league but there is always a pretty good chance we will concede, they get 1-0 ahead, they wont change a thing. We have to make our chances count.

They are awful and anything less than all three points is a bottle job. This is the mentality we need our players to go there with - we should be offended if we are not dominating this game from kick off.

Forget team Villa they are now individuals hoping for prem contracts next season. Could even bring the best out of them the fear of a reduction in living standards?

This fixture is bringing back memories of when we played them in 2012, man what a fucking awful decision by Redknapp that was to play it safe rather than go full blast for the win.

Its a fair point, if you were told you were only going to have three sports cars as opposed to five, five hookers instead of ten a week and half the amount to gamble with - well, I'm sure it would up anyone's motivaion levels.

There's only one Premier League game being played today, how is this not on TV?
Its on mine. Unfortunately I wont be home so will have to record it until later. The last time I recorded to watch later we were beaten by Newcastle, a game we were expected to win. I hope it's not an omen

Watched a bit of villa and they pass it around very tentatively till they get to the final third when they run out of ideas.

I think our press,,with Alli to the fore, is likely,to turn them over and it will be a case of whether we are clinical enough with the final ball and finish as to how things pan out.

You can bet if we do get an early goal their loyal 25k will be very quick to again voice their anger. Hopefully they might then feel that pressure and capitulate like they did against Liverpool recently. If they get to ht with a clean sheet they might grow a little.

We need to get after them right from the off.

Coys.

Poch should resist the temptation of playing the comple first XI today. This game provides an opportunity to keep players fresh and to heel a bit from any nagging injurues without causing damage to the season. Only player we cant sit, unfortunately, is Kane because both Son and Chadli are no where even remotely close to being good enough to even start a premier league game at their main positions at the moment, let alone a backup one.

With this in mind, we have to rest Toby, Dier and Alli. And if we have a big lead at half, then take off Kane for Harrison.

Lloris
Walker CCV Wimmer Rose
Dembele Carroll
Lamela Onomah Eriksen
Kane

Vorm, Alderweireld, Bentaleb, Mason, Winks, Son, Harrison

You mean like the way MP did not risk all and go for the win against 10 men arsenal?
Boring, but for me both MP and HR were right in playing the percentages to get a top 4 slot.
If we finish 4th and liverpool and arsenal win the euro-cups, then we may come unstuck again,
but I would not blame MP for this. It is just very bad luck.

Not entirely sure I would risk Dier in these next couple of games due to the threat of suspension. I think it would be best to leave him on the bench and only bring him on under exceptional circumstances. Additionally it should give him a much needed rest for when the bigger games come around.

Surely we have more than enough about us to win these next couple of games with Mason, Dembele, Bentaleb, Carroll and Alli if needed.

Can you please stop his Carter vickers stuff. He isn't ready for the PL yet.

I'm off to see Anderlecht vs Kortrijk so will have to watch this on replay. We better batter them tho. No excuses.

The odds are getting shorter and shorter as we get closer to game time. Now Villa's at 5/1 at some books. Not putting anything on it.
