No resting players today. No point, rest them on thursday as we've fucked up that tie already. Full strength for today and Bournemouth and 6 points please.

I can't find any recent comments from Pochettino regarding Bentaleb, are there any?

Looking at that Villa team.. If we don't win this, this match would be the most Spurs we've ever Spursed.

Villa got probably their best midfield and attack available out on the pitch (imo)

I rate Ayew and Gil as their main two dangers, the latter especially caused us a lot of problems when we played them at home earlier in the season.

However their midfield pairing looks tragic and Dier and Dembele should boss it completely.

Going to repeat here what I said in the FA Cup thread.

It's between us and Leicester for the title in my opinion, City are completely inconsistent and woeful (Yet they thumped Villa 4-0 so no excuses for us today) and Arsenal are just as bad, neither of them have it in them to put a strong run together between now and the end of the season.

The only two clubs capable are us and Leicester and we need to start today by putting a mark down, not some scrappy 1-0 win, we need to thump Villa and put the fright into Leicester, heap pressure on them before they have to play a Rafa Newcastle who are looking to impress and who defend like animals to deny Leicester any points.

We NEED to win today and win convincingly, no excuses.

Have to disagree about Ars*nal. Worried now they have nothing else but the league to play for and have the easiest run in out of all the teams. Wont count them out till its mathematically impossible for them to win the league. Which hopefully will be sooner rather than later.

Dier didnt travel to Germany due to injury. He is available today. But he still could have lingering effects from his injury. Wouldnt you want to give him another game and make sure he is 100% fit if you could?

The people against resting players in easy games/cup games baffle me. We play a high octane system that uses up alot of energy. Add to that the most rigorous training regimen, with only 1 day off a week. It's physically and emotionally draining. These guys arent robots FFS! We've seen this every year from Poch. His teams have a tendency to collapse as the season winds down. Players need rest sometimes. Many wont be getting it during int'l windows or during the summer either due to the international tournaments. We need to give them a game off when we can to keep them fresh.

Maybe dier is 100% fit now? Who knows.
We have already lost at home to Newcastle this season, there are no easy games.
How do you know we haven't toned down our training at this point of the season? You are making a lot of assumption without any facts. Only a select few know what goes on behind the doors at our training ground
