Too expensive
No terracing
Being told to sit down or shut up by stewards or other fans
Johnny Come lately fans expecting us to win every game at home 4-0

Will be worse at a new stadium though when groups of people who sit together now are distributed all over the ground, Emirates Mark II

What?

the jcl's with thier glued hair who bring thier girlfriends to games have won..
point is the club & authourites dont want the stereotypical loud mouth working class male in the ground anymore

the exact fan that made the atmosphere has now mostly gone or doesn't go to the lane anymore.
after 40+ years of going to the lane i went once last season after giving up my s.t after 18 years, i only go to away games now & even there the atmosphere/noise made by spurs fans is dying really quickly.
started going in the late 60's as a kid & went to the lane all through the shite periods & when being involved with football violence was as much as part of your day as the game but the lane now is a morgue compared now to any time in the past!!.. there was always characters as well like the greek fella at the corner of the shelf & park lane with the booming voice etc etc..where are they now!!..

the club want a family stadium with every sitting nicely & have stewards trained by the reamains of the third reich to keep you sat down & shut up.
they cant have it both ways!.

Spot on Class of 62, still remember the 1st time I heard the schussing behind me when a few fans in our section ( East L B25 ) tried to make a bit of noise, was embarrassing

I didn't say that either did I?! I wouldn't have been going to Spurs for the last 20 ish years otherwise.

It makes me laugh when people say how much better it was in the good old days, when you could have a fight, get into the ground for nowt and then get crushed on the terraces. The game has evolved, the authorities and the clubs want football to be a family orientated sport. Most people would agree that it's better now, thought maybe a happy medium would be better. The game has changed, You have to deal with it or just cling on to memories of the past.

It has been a flat atmosphere of late , maybe the drop of form and uncertainty of Harry's position has not just affected the players. However I have sat in the Paxton for the last 5 years and it's never been loud , could never really work out why - maybe just because it's the "family" section?

Up to us to help generate it.

Absolutely, I agree.

I feel a bit bad complaining about the atmosphere cos I only get to the lane 6 or 7 times a season.

When I do get up to the Lane I always try to put in 110% singing my heart out. It can be difficult though - I go along with the rest of the crowd, I'm not a song starter or anything...

Even more important that we rally round and get behind the team in the last few games. It's going to be tough.
