"JOHN TERRY will not be offered a new contract by angry Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich. The Blues skipper is set to become the latest player to feel the wrath of the Russian billionaire, who has still not forgiven him, Frank Lampard and former star Didier Drogba for failing to back ex-boss Andre Villas-Boas.

Villas-Boas was one of the few managers Abramovich took a leading personal role in recruiting before the start of last season.

But after failing to win over the big names at the club, the Portuguese coach was sacked in March and has since taken charge at Tottenham."

Hope this is true so that AVB can have the last laugh.

Excuse my French, but what a load of bollox!

So Abramovich is upset at Terry for not backing the manager he chose? Call me naive but shouldn't that have meant that the owner back the manager and discipline the Captain? It doesn't have to be public, just a quiet ' Do as the manager requires you to do or you can train with the kids before we sell you to QPR' kind of chat.

Abramovich can now see what he would have got had he the courage of his convictions. Funny how this toilet only appears when all and sundry can see that AVB is far more adept than he was given credit for.

RA seems to use the tabloid press as his very own propaganda machine. With the amount of half wits that lap up everything they print though, it's hardly surprising.

Oh yeah, and Terry isn't a low life thug either,...

They deserve each other, whether this story is bollox or not.

poor old Roman must have been devastated when he had to listen to Terry tell him that AVB was useless. But like a good boy he heeded the advice and sacked AVB at a cost of 15m. Terry then patted him.on the head said There There and Roman felt ok again.

Lovely theory but players who are worth money (assets) always hold sway over a manager who is worth nothing to the club (liabilities). With AVB gone Terry and co delivered what Abramovich wanted, the Champions League and the money that goes with it to attract better players. The fact that he has been a total embarrassment to the club since, as has Cole might have something more to do with not being offered a contract.

Player power is the norm in football rather than the exception.

Well yeah, that's kind the point I am making, which is why I labelled the piece bollox.

My scenario is what SHOULD have occurred, obviously it didn't.

Cole should be in prison but Chelsea didn't even report him to the Police. Terry should be serving a long ban. Terry should have sacked. Cole should be on charge for fabricating evidence as should one of their executives. Terry should not have gone to the European Championships with England. Chelsea should be on charges over the Clattenburg incident. Mikel should be charged. Chelsea should have apologised to Clattenburg.

There is a lot which should have happened but hasn't.

Man I hate Chelsea. They really are a malignant little lump of regurgitated sputum.

The real last laugh will be at the end of the season when we have qualified for CL and hopefully with either or both the Wafa and the FA Cups.

I read that Terry was the only senior player to back AVB to the end.

From what I heard of the situation AVB's relationship with Terry (ever the politician) was actually very good. I believe that Lampard was the one who led the revolt against him.

Let me get this straight, you're lecturing me about a point we both agree on?

Imo the russian doesnt really give a toss once any manager hes given the bullet has gone, he just pays em off and gets another one, classless wanker albeit a stinking rich one who has played a major part in installing player power in recent years by paying inflated transfer fees and mega wages to players to buy trophies

I certainly dont believe AVB had the last laugh - Terry and Roman are part of a club that are the champions of europe where as AVB lost his job and had to rebuild his reputation. With every footballer, there will be a time when they have to move on and if that time is now for Terry then I am pretty sure its nothing to do with AVB. If this story was true why has Roman waited so long?
