Voted NO - but purely because I hope we can do better.

With a current set up he would provide a different type of option - but as say we need to improve what we have.

No

Because he's a swine and has always been. I don't like swines in our colours, simple as that.

No.

We're above this level now. He's no real, if any, improvement on Defoe.

After the Arda business this would be a massive disappointment.

He's the best we can hope for, I guess. But can he play in a 4-4-2? I'd say things about the dressing room, but I have a feeling that the return of Keane would do more to fracture the dressing room than adding this idiot.

NO. Great player when in the mood but a absolute **** of a man. We have a very good team spirit at our club and can do without his vile attitude. I see no real value getting him aswell as he's on silly wages at City and would have to pay a transfer fee of £8-10M. If we want a speedy winger who can create and score goals then why dont we sign his team mate Martin Petrov, he's available on a free too....!

He played LM for Liverpool in a 4-4-2 IIRC.

I so don't want us to stick with 4-4-2 next season though - it's time we progressed and played to our strengths (which is very much our midfield now, not our forwards anymore like when we had Keane and Berbs).

Madness. Bellamy is an excellent player who would offer something different, not to mention probably superior, to Defoe. Other than being of similar stature they are different players.

Any objection to him based on his attitude is completely wrong-headed IMO for two reasons - firstly, he has entirely the right attitude on the field in order to be a successful player, and to object to him based on his off-field personality, which admittedly does seem to be that of a world-class dickhead, would mean you'd have to demand the sale of half our current side. Lennon, Huddlestone, Hutton, Woodgate, Ekotto, Alnwick and even our beloved Ledley have shown themselves to be arseholes in their personal life at one point or another. Not to the same extent as Bellamy of course but still.

I would love to have him at the club. The only minus point againt him is the fact that by his own admission he's only one major injury away from having to retire. A fully-fit Bellamy would be a guaranteed starter for us, I think.

You mention his atitude on the pitch - which most SCers would probably be happy with.
You mention his attitude off the pitch - in the context of what he does away from the club is his business - and that's a matter of opinion.
What you don't mention, is his poisonous affect on team spirit - which is off the pitch, but not away club...and it is precisely this that concerns most SCers.
He has disrupted virtually every club (golf club?:eek:mg:), he has been at.

If we could get him to cut his wages in half, and on a transfer fee of no more than 5m, and have him happy to be behind Lennon on the right, bale on the left and Defoe up front then......

Still no. Never scored enough, injury prone and a cockface to boot!

Yes.
1) He's versatile. Can play striker and on both wings. Pace and more goal-scoring ability than either Lennon or Bale (granted they could still both develop it).
2) Has to be the right price- I wouldn't pay more than 8m. Anything more and it becomes too much of an investment for someone who's going to be a bench/part-time starter.
3) The attitude knock- it seems like Harry has a particular hold on Bellamy. Hopefully that will mean that he won't spout his mouth like in the past.

No, because he's a ****.

Went to a game vs Newcastle a few years back and he won it for them 1-0 very late. Didn't expect him to show us any sympathy, but he celebrated in front of us like an absolute ****. No class and would be an embarrassment to Spurs.

Depends who else we sign and sell but I'd take him over Keane and Defoe most weeks (not every).

Aside from his attitude if we could get him for a reasonable price I think he would be an upgrade on Keane and is probably not far off Defoe especially given Defoe's end of season form.

hmm i'd say yes, scores vital goals when you need them, always committed to the cause, gives 100% every game and most of all he wants that win, he'll do anything for it!

Yes - the guy has an edge, has serious pace which we dont have apart from in a few players. He will also add strength in depth and offer us something different from our existing strikers.
