I'd love Berba back. But not for Modric, the story is rubbish anyway.

Also how would this dude dating berba's cousin know sush a thing. If this shows Berba is contemplating a move to spurs however it might not all be bad news. Even though I think it is all bullshit.

hi ryan. got any inside info about any new forwards?? or any new players!! im gagging for a fix!

not really mate.

there is an air of uncertainty at the moment. A week is a long time in football, and this week is probably going to make a difference to who we'll sign and when we'll sign them.

I do beleive that we have potential deals in place, similar to how we completed the Berbatov and Modric ones. Scott Parker\Connor Wickham\dare I say it? Lukaku maybe?

If we sign Parker and Wickham we may as well not bother. We dont need a CM and we dont need a rookie CF.

I don't want to make any rash statements about what I would do if we ssold Modders (especially to United), as I am sure Levy would hardly notice, and I couldn't just stop supporting the club I have supported since I was 9 - but I would be seriously unhappy and disillusioned to lose such a clearly WC player who has stated several times (and his agent has, too) that he really has nointention of leaving.

An 18 year old striker proven at championship level is always worth a buy, We might still get rid of 2 strikers so....

On Parker if we sell O'Hara, Jenas and Palacios we will need another midfielder, Parker would fit the bill well

Very true the few Man Utd supporters I know believe he'll be there player. I must say we don't fucking help ourselves, when the cherry is dangled in front of us we tend to sell our best players, it's happened before won't surprise me if it happens again....sad but true.

wrong. Are best players force a move to go and win things.

Berba and Carrick each had 2 years remaining and wanted to leave so wouldn't be signing extensions. After the 2 year point value diminshes rapidly over the next three windows in general. Modric has 5 years remaining after this seasons end.

Not really proven at that level imo, 37 games (yeah quite a few as a sub but started the last 18 games) but only 8 goals is not enough for us to part with the best part of £ 15million pounds, he has an average of one goal in every six games for i(nbred)pswich.
i'd like parker though.

I don't think Man Utd would be willing to pay what would be needed to get Modric when he has a 5 year contract. I'd take Berba back, maybe in a swap for O'Hara, but any deal that involves players like Modric should be rejected immediately.

This.

The last time Ferguson asked Harry about him, Harry told him only if we got Rooney + cash in exchange (a great story which sums up why we love him).

If we sell him this summer, I will quit SC, and donate £500.

No need to quit but we'll take the monkey. That's the money of course, not Gareth Bale

The question here is whether United would take cash for Berbatov. Ferguson clearly has lost interest in him, despite being the league's top scorer. Pretty obvious that old Bacon Face wants Modric but I can't see Levy selling up.

As for those who bang on about not wanting Berbatov back, quite frankly I think you're :duh:

15m would take a large slice of our kitty for someone we have to wait 3 years to develop. Even then may turn into Franny Jeffers.

Wickham is the type of player to buy when you have solid options and need an understudy.

So step forward now all those "I'd have Berbatoss back in a heartbeat" posters.

This is shit. Berbatov is clearly better than any of our strikers, prem top scorer and best forward we've has since Klinsnmann...

BUT

I don't think anyone would swap him for Modric. Full stop.

This.

I'd love Berbatov back. Yes he was a complete cock when he left, however as you say, he is far better than any of our strikers. Him and VDV would be an incredible partnership.

However if Modric goes to United I will have to be restrained from throttling Ferguson.

I would absolutely love Berba back, but like most, not at the expense of losing Modric.

Imagine how good this team would be:

Gomes
Walker Dawson Kaboul Ekotto
Thudd Sandro
Bale VDV Modric
Berbatov
