I have to say I’m not overly confident in any of them, think they are probably the lowest standard of refs we’ve ever had so it doesn’t really matter who is in charge.

I dont even think it is base don last weeks performance, I just think Conte and the players wil use this as a benchmark of where we are - last season we lost three times in quick succession and we were utterly abysmal. Conte will be at his most motivated this game and wants this game - it is his yardstick.

They do treat this as a massive game but truth is Chelsea have consistently beaten us because they have been consistently better than us. When that hasn't been the case it has been a different story and on the odd occasion they still had to rely on a top player piece of brilliance, Hazard for example.
I firmly believe we are better than them at this moment and I don't believe we do the impression of a rabbit caught in the headlights anymore, we are much tougher now so there's every reason to believe we will win.

I think that is essentially true. But I also think that there are other factors. We have 3 teams who see us as their main rivals and for whom the home game against us is a must not lose, Chelsea, arsenal and West ham. So in those 3 games they give their all and there are NEVER any gimmees! it is difficult for us to match that so we either lose just based on that alone or if we match them the game is decided by quality. Chelsea have had a better team than us for most of the last 30 years and so we have lost. Arsenal for 20 and we lost, west ham very rarely and so we have won some.

It isn't psychological and certainly won't be with this squad so it will boil down to whether we can match them for passion and then let our football do the rest. Will be a tough game.

Do you think? I feel he’s way better suited against the deeps that sit deep, where his ability to beat a man, whip crosses in and score goals by cutting in will be much more effective. Away against a top team where we likely have less of the ball and he’ll need to defend a lot doesn’t seem sensible
