I’m seriously hungover, but the Mrs has taken the kids out for the day, so it’s just me and the dogs. Sweet. Think I’ll pop over the shop and get some Magners for the match.

We’re not match day going fans. We’re on the in-ter-net.

Even with fans who atttend away matches, I don’t reckon how they feel or what they worry about individually makes any difference to anything, as long as they keep singing collectively, which they always do.

The threads here fill with omens and worries about overconfidence and expressions of bravado and none of them are at all connected with causal reality. They’re all the equivalent of wearing your lucky pants. It’s all delusional bullshit. Same goes for scoreline predictions. I prefer to wait and watch the match.
Fitness and tactics can only get you so far. The rest is really down to lucky underpants. I'll be wearing mine today, just like last week (you're welcome).

At the very least I want a performance to be proud of. The likes of Anfield and Etihad last season. No rolling over and them tickling our stomachs. Not anymore.

I think we've only beaten them once at their place in the league over the last 20 seasons when we were under peak Poch.
So a betting man certainly wouldn't put money on us winning.

However, comparing our first games, with our respective form since Conte's been here I can see us getting a point.
They were out bogey team when they were absolutely pony. Just hate playing them.

As expected. Glad to see Richarlison after his suspension. Great option, along with Bissouma, to have on the bench. Perisic as well. A much better bench than last season.

Same team as expected, but our bench is even stronger now with Richarlison back

Our record at Stamford Bridge is abysmal but I’m confident we can get at least a draw COOOYYYYSSSSS

So bizarre, it's like the school holidays are ending and you've had such a great summer.
Now it's first year in secondary school and some terrifying teachers and big bad boys await. Yet somewhere amongst the fear is the excitement that you are a big boy now and life is gonna be amazing
This is a great analogy ?
