Looks like he was worried about a rather old and slow back line. Kind of helps us as James is one of the best attacking outlets they have.
That's what I was thinking. I seem to remember James having an uncomfortable amount of time and possession on their right wing last season.

Oh shit Tuchel is using the 3-4-3/4-2-2-2 hybrid fuckkk

Worked really well against us last season and in their biggest games, my Chelsea mates are big fans of their starting team tonight.

Will be a good test to see if we’re going to have the same issues as we did last season against three man midfields, especially away from home.

An important challenge will be that Romero is going to need to be aggressive and step in to help in midfield without leaving too much space behind. 3 centre backs is always interesting vs a false 9.

Subs important today too on a hot day.

Regardless of how the team is written on paper Chelsea look to be trying to outnumber us in midfield which is a worry in this system.

No Bentancur Kulu or Romero last time we played them, so just hope we go in with the right mentality as both our starting 11 and bench is improved.

A win here would be a big statement.

The biggest thing for me after those three defeats is we are 8 months or so into Conte's reign and we have that system and side settled now. Add the bench options being upgraded and we are in a much better position. Trying so hard not to convince myself to be too confident because I know we can win, yet it's that one game a year where no matter how well we're doing prior, we falter.

Looking at our bench, and I know Skipp is injured, but we still look light of another option for CM, in my opinion.

They can try and overload centrally if they want, as soon as the ball goes wide we are in business.

If there is one thing I dont think is a weakness in Emersons play is his defending. I think he will be fine.
Strangely, I think a game like today wil suit him. Onus primarily will be on defending

That tactical set up by Chelsea worries me. If we are out numbered in midfield again it will be a big problem.
