Maybe those kind of jokes are best left back in the 1970s though.

Strong username to bizarre tone policing energy going on here...

It was context joke, right? Somebody posted how it was okay for Tuchel to act like a complete twat because of his "german cultural norms". I turned that thinking on itself with a pretty lame and obvious joke.

and now someone calling themselves "yakflange" is telling me to update from the 1970's.

Christ I love the internet :D

Dont care about any of the crap.- grest result- its all about keeping spirits high. They wanted to bully us and they did this and opened up the game. We mustn't allow chelsea to turn this into a negative. It may be for them but not for us . Brilliant Brilliant, Brilliant. COYS

From the positive responses to your posts, i gather there are many then. Good luck with the high level of expectations.
I am not saying we ARE contenders, just that the best teams find a way to not lose if they can't win. It's only played down as a negative, because it's little old Tottenham.

Didn't see the match, but from what I had heard I was expecting to see us completely under the cosh first half on MOTD. The real chances were pretty even in the highlights, so I guess Chelsea dominated possession but created very little with it.

Bentancur's tackle on Havertz wasn't what I would call clean, but he certainly got something of the ball. In any case, we scored on our third attack after that, during which time a Chelsea player had touched the ball. You can't possibly disallow a goal in the situation. And there is no way their keeper couldn't see the ball when it was hit.

As for our second, there is no question that Romero should have been given a red card for violent conduct though.
You could argue Stiring was offside and in line of view of Lloris on thier first goal.

Conti must appeal he was provoked. Bloody Germans always wanting to start a fight.☺

We all saw what and how it all happened. All we have to do is watch, it's there for all to see. After the final whistle, despite the pair having to be physically restrained from punching each others lights out, Conte offered his hand as part of the managers etiquette probably despite still being angry at the way Tuchel had conducted himself at half time..., but Tuchel being the classless **** that he clearly is, refused to release the hand and angrily yanked it back as the two started shouting at each other again, bringing the two camps rushing in to stop things developing again.

We MUST appeal that red card. The evidence is there for everyone to study and see for themselves. Conte was completely innocent of any wrong doing, simply trying to do the professional thing, and the ref gave both red cards probably because he thought he had to but I'm not even sure he saw the events as they happened.

Hard to know what to think of the game my mind is all over the place. Obviously I was thrilled with the draw, but i wanted a win beforehand to show we are a better team

Chelsea were the better team for around 65 minutes I felt. If Sterling scores we kiss the game goodbye, If Kane scores that chance it may have changed things too, even though we score a few minutes later.

VAR is odd, I sort of shit the bed with Bentacur and Romero but we got let off the hook a bit.

Richalison changed the game for me. Just being a nuisance and ruffling up their feathers a tad. He pulled the Chelsea backline out of position on the counter attacks with his movement. Also, Perisic corners were sensational too.

We have to pick up points against the big clubs this season. Arsenal are going to pick up a lot more points this season so we need to make every game count. Chelsea will be up there too. Top 4 is going to be a good challenge

To be second best and come out with a draw is a fantastic result but we gotta up our game for these matches

There were 22 men playing today going hard at it..... 2 men coaches on the bench. Nothing wrong with that comment. This was a fiesty clash played by men.

All he is doing is saying that....no quarter givenand no quarter taken. We don't always have to be PC..... yes woman play the game too now....but there is absolutely nothing wrong in enjoying men's football and loving it...... I think he just liked a hard fought game like this.....perhaps how he played it.
Men's football is a man's game that's official.
He's a bit of a dinosaur yes but I don't see why people can't differentiate between the two.
To be fair Tuchel paid homage to the female side of things, he cried like a girlie.

I know Romero pulled cucsrellas hair but I'm not sure VAR got anything wrong, the ref obviously decided they were both guilty of a bit of pushing and shoving and it had no bearing on the goal so it's not var's job to overturn the ref's decision. I thought they may have been looking for violent conduct which there clearly wasn't.
To have disallowed a goal for that would have been wrong and being in the last minute would have been an absolute disgrace. If referees are being a bit more accommodating this season then I'm pleased even though no doubt at some point it will be us complaining.

I think today shows we do need another attacking midfield option when Kulu and Son can't fire. We will still have a very good season but to bring another option in would drastically improve our chances Would also love if we could get another central defender but I know we may have to wait for that
Does it show we need another attaching midfielder? I hope so as I’d like another option, but honestly today they didn’t fire and we still scored twice and had two 1v1s that were missed against a very very good chelsea defense. And last week same, but against a weekend defense, and we scored 4.

I am not sure we’re making a great argument for needing more forwards as a priority.

What a game! Yeah we were shit but to snatch a draw from the jaws of defeat like that.

Thinking our depth is looking miles better too. To be able to bring on Perisic, Bissouma, Richarlison like that.

Really excited to see more of those 3 particularly Perisic, man has a throw in like Delap

I'm baffled at our inability to grasp the advantage of playing at home.
Nearly 50% of those predicting a result on here thought we would win despite only doing so once in the last 30 years or so.

This is against one of the best teams in the world with 40,000 fans cheering them on against a hated opposition.

Sometimes you've just got to sit back and soak up the pressure whilst taking advantage of any openings you get.
This doesn't mean they are a much better side than us, just that playing away is much tougher (something every football fan on this planet should know).

The bottom line is we've gained a point not lost two by battling to the end in one of our toughest games of the season.

Completely understand why Conte has trusted players who he's had longer to work with but the integration of some of the new players needs to start now. I don't know who out of PEH and Bentancur is dropped as I like them both, but Bissouma has to start for me. Will take him a bit of time to acclimatise to Conte's methods but the guy oozes class and will be huge for us. Also think Perisic needs to start next game. Sess is a work in progress and will be decent against poorer opposition, but Perisic is clearly still a fantastic player and we need him on the pitch. The delivery on those final two corners were fantastic and we have a huge team now so need to take advantage of it.

Will be interested to see if Lenglet starts when he comes back from injury, I think with his ability on the ball, he will be a 1st team regular and an astute signing but just depends how long his injury keeps him out (seems he may even be back next week).

Also think Richarlison was brilliant when he came on yesterday. Brought a whole new energy and I genuinely feel he's a fantastic addition.

Overall, it was a tough watch. We were very poor and Chelsea 100% deserved the 3pts, so to come away with 1pt is massive.

I'll be gobsmacked if we see the same Starting XI next Saturday.

I think back to the opening day of the season and when Klopp quoted Pep Guardiola -

Talking about a long season ahead with the World Cup break Pep is reputed to have said -

"You can't win the Premier League in the first half of the season but you can lose it"
