The FA need to come down hard on Chelsea for the way they've been reacting about the referee. Tuchel saying he shouldn't referee Chelsea again and players posting criticism on Instagram is not acceptable.

Romero was weak too but I know he's a great player so I am not too worried about him. He just looked physically off it in the first half.

I agree with @hamsup_sotong when he said it was also a problem with Sess and Royal. Kane was bad too holding the ball up.

Chelsea allowed Dier to have the ball. We had lots of safe possession and they knew he wouldn't hurt them. They only pressed when we tried to build through the sides, hammered us in the Romero, Royal, Kulu channel.

Also Dier hurt us in the 2nd goal, gets caught too far over. Son vacates too early but Dier jumps to Haivertz wrongly.

Davies did what he normally does, scrambles hard which is admirable but if we just had a real physical LCB like Chelsea had with Koulibaly it would make a massive difference
Who was it then that kept Sterling quiet if our defenders were so poor ?

This is two separate although identical fouls. He got booked for the 2nd in the centre circle

The press really want to make something of this game today don't they? Insisting it was offside even though he wasn't interfering with play. They are totally forgetting the Koulibali was directly infront of Richarlson blocking the view too, so if the goalie was looking around he was also looking around Koulibali.
The hair pull again, if they wanted Cute off for that, then Sideshow Bob gets sent off for raking his studs on Romeros knee. Some selective amnesia here. Just goes to show we are getting under the skin, I love it.

Tuchel should get the book thrown at him for sure. Are we surprised they are carrying on like that though?

Was Sterling quiet? Set up the 2nd goal and ran through our entire box and shot over.

Chelsea's attack was very good in a very organised way. No stand outs but that whole Chelsea team is extremely well coached.

The worrying thing for me was how physically superior Chelsea looked at times. We were tired and weak. I am hoping it's just an off day. Kane can be manhandled in games, happened in the past vs defenders like Zouma, Van Dijk and Thiago Solva. Kulu got eaten by Koulibaly. Koulibaly is a monster, looked a bit awkward at times but was able to dominate that left space.

We got super lucky and escaped from under the axe.

There is a looooong way to go for us to challenge the top. Midfield and RWB are still sub par quality and require massive improvement if we are serious.

I don't think we were super lucky.

Fortunate yes, but its about time we got the rub of the green.

No doubt they were much superior first half but they didn't create that much in truth...but certainly dominated us in terms of possession of the football.

The second half was much more even, perhaps them shading the clear cut chances in that half.

But people are making out we were battered.

We weren't...we were just second best over the 90.

I mean did we honestly think they wouldn't be up for this?

It's a tough away ground at a top 4 rival as it is. But they raise their game everytime we play them....everytime.

We were on the back foot against their extra man in midfield and they came flying out of the traps with lots of energy and purpose.

It's not easy to stifle that away from home.

Tottenham of old would of folded second half....we'd lost 3 nil or something.

We made changes and clawed our way back into the game...and made a game of if.

And we got rewarded well for doing so.

We'll get better as we integrate the new guys and the belief we take from this will he huge.

There has been a great deal of vitriol for his comment. I dont think it is at all proportionate to what he said. Womens game is the womens game and mens game is the mens game - both games should be treated in its own right. Its the very message that was discussed during the Euros actually... theyre two kinda separate games.

If he was doing punditry ona womans game I am certain he would have said its a womans game - but none of us would have batted an eyelid.

I don’t disagree and I wasn’t trying to give him grief. I was more making an observation about him not reading the room.

I think we all get what he meant and he’s clarified this morning but I can kind of understand why some are a bit put out.

I wasnt having a go at you - more at the vitriol on social media. Felt so OTT and most ganging up on him. Constant cancel culture on hat someone says about something. Constantly watching what we say.

Strong username to bizarre tone policing energy going on here...

It was context joke, right? Somebody posted how it was okay for Tuchel to act like a complete twat because of his "german cultural norms". I turned that thinking on itself with a pretty lame and obvious joke.

and now someone calling themselves "yakflange" is telling me to update from the 1970's.

Christ I love the internet :D

Yes, it's a context joke, and your context is an outdated anti-German WWII stereotype - that was my point. I just think that that kind of humour should be left in the past, we can do better than that these days.

I don't really see how that's related to my username, which isn't an offensive and backward bit of stereotyping.

This is great viewing - zoom in on different people to get full vibes. Great to see commitment from players not involved including Tanganga, Spence and Austin.
