Liverpool's decision to sell could have to do with staged-payments or add-ons not coming into play. In that scenario a deal could be done, it'd have Levy written all over it
Would love him at the club if the price was right and his head is in the right place. Would be a great alternative to Kane and would offer us something different if we're chasing a game.
I suspect it's a complete non-starter for various reasons, but I certainly hope we're looking at it if he's being touted around.
Or possibly because the manager that bought him got sacked two months agoLiverpool's decision to sell could have to do with staged-payments or add-ons not coming into play. In that scenario a deal could be done, it'd have Levy written all over it
Genuinely surprised at this. Would happily take him but why would Liverpool sell him to us?
Especially with Kane's ability to drop deep and collect the ball it's not inconceivable that they could work as a two if that was what a certain game required. Would also allow us to go long when chasing a game. Everyone has a price that makes sense and if he's cheap (very unlikely) I'm not against it.
I think there is more to him than just a big lump that you hoof the ball at. With Lamela, Eriksen and Son buzzing around him I think he could be a good fit for us.Because he's a busted flush whose value is only going to fall from here.
See Kenwyne Jones or Andy Carroll

I do not, however think that Liverpool will sell to us at a price that we feel is reasonable. I also suspect he is on massive wages which again won't fly here. Man U on the other hand may well be all over this.
Not what we need as good as he is. We need a Vardy type player to play off Kane.
That performance you talk about was a classic counter-attacking one though. Villa sat very deep under Lambert and he, Weimann and Gabby always had loads of space. We don't really play like that the majority of the time, so I don't see it being that relevant. He's not the right player for us.Benteke isn't just about getting on the end of crosses...did people not see him link up with Weimann aplenty...the combination play at Anfield a few seasons ago, ironically, between the two of them was incredible - , one of the best attacking displays I've seen between two forwards - it had everything. No wonder Rodgers was attracted after witnessing that:

Benteks is not just a lump you boot the ball up to. If people think that they havn't watched enough of him.
He's had a poor start with Liverpool and his injury situation hasn't helped either but make no mistake he has shown a lot more than just scoring the odd header from a cross, a hell of a lot more.
