I joined COYS a couple of years ago because I got pissed off with a few things on here :
Members posting abuse to each other just because they did not agree or were not interested in thread.
Shutting down the match thread and insisting we had to use chatroom during the matches
Mods being pedantic about repeat threads and making a big deal about it. That was it seemed a higher priority than sorting out the abuse.

When you join COYS you are asked to post a " this is my first post " thread and I must say I was impressed with the warmth of the welcomes from COYS members- maybe 100+ replies.

Having said all that, while I still post on both forums I do agree that threads can be a little tedious on there . There are also too many non - football related items mixed up with the Spurs related ones. However I think there are good and bad things about both forums.

Since I joined COYS the things that drove me away from SC are now less relevant. There is more control over obscenities and abuse than there used to be and you can now post on match threads during matches. I now use SC again much more than COYS but imo the more forums on which you can feed your " Spurs lust "the better.

Yeah, but football without obscenities might as well be women's ice skating. Fuck that pussy-ass shit.

Also, do a similar post over there about their pedantic mods and see how long your account remains.

Still post on both forums. The COYS forum is like going to an extended family party and having to watch your 'p's and 'q's because your old aunts are there or the more religious side of the family are in attendance.

There are some in SC that argue that it was much better on here a few years ago... ;-)

Hilarious to read some of the reasons why members were banned from Coys. A number of them seem quite incredible. I was suspended a few times, and then banned whilst suspended for questioning their attitude towards insults that Noodles had posted to other members. As many have said, it is like a cult. For me, the worst aspect was the plethora of "thanks for sharing" posts that addended some piece of ITK drivel.

I share with BOF and one or two others the distinction of having been banned from COYS for stuff I'd posted on here—in my case, I think, being highly satirical about mattjb's famed 'Torres done deal!' non-ITK four years ago. I never actually got to posting anything on COYS.

I've got to wonder if there is any mileage in personal attacks on the owners and members of other sites?

There's lots of sites out there I've got issues with. I just don't click on 'em

Exactly. There are enough sites of other clubs out there which deserve ridicule more than COYS. Or any other Spurs forum.

COYS is a nasty forum.

After some long post demanding more cash from the members I asked if Prof could kindly tell us minions how much he needed and what was in the bank. Banned almost immediately. Clearly Prof is on the take and is milking all the idiots who seem to worship him like a God.

Who do you think is funding Rob through his PhD?

Better off not being on there.

The majority are a bunch of ****s who can't take any criticism and if you disagree with their quite often ridiculous views you might as well delete your own account!

Ask Scutch - he posts a lot there, or he used to when I was a member there.

He's well liked over there (on the assumption he's not been banned).

Call their bluff.

It's not illegal, in fact, send it to the police yourselves, I'ms ure they would be more interested in people using the police as a threat, than what you could possible have done :-D

I'm with Shanks, but don't call yourself.

After all, I am sure the authorities would love a call from the esteemed members of COYS moderation panel to complain that someone doesn't agree with someone else about who we should sign next year. Or that somebody called someone a twat.
