Another dominant display but we've seen how hard it is to break down organised teams who show little if any desire to attack. All of Russia, Wales and Slovakia played not to lose rather than played to win. Hopefully the knockout rounds will see teams try to attack us a bit more.

Dier was man of the match for me. Provided a solid defensive base, dictated the tempo and created some great chances.

I'd honestly consider dropping Lallana in there and just going for it:

Something like:

Hart

Walker
Cahill
Smalling
Rose

Dier
Alli
Lallana

Sturridge
Kane
Vardy
Hodgson 'going for it', no, i'm having problems with that image.

That was awful, no width, no urgency, and Woy Stodgeson has to go.

They are through with a draw.

This is what you get for allowing 4 third places through. Piss poor football.

Bigget fuck up in the history of UEFA. Piss poor football so far...
Atleast this format gave us a chance to get through the group stages

They made a point that Stones and Barkley are the only outfield players not to feature yet. I'd say that was exactly the sort of game for both of them. Stones bringing it out from the back and Barkley picking it up between the lines and driving at them. We were missing players who would take the game to them and commit players, especially with Wilshere having a stinker.

The worst thing is I know that Hodgson doesn't even know his best team yet.
At least back in the 90's when we played with five attacking players we scored goals....maybe Ozzie needs to get the England job.
Loving Crouchie with the subtle selection dig!

I don't even know how Wilshere got on the plane, he hasn't even been playing football recently, too busy club hopping and snorting lines off of Rooney's Granny's.

We had enough overrated mid table players out there already. Would two more have been the difference?

Fucking amateur pundits arguing on TV.

How can they then say that the changes made no difference because we created a lot of chances?!?!

It's ridiculous, we created about 5. If you pick a better team it's going to do more than that. We didn't win because of hodgson's selection. Full stop.

The one thing I will say is that we have been good first half in all 3 games but are just not taking chances. Once we settle on a team and take those chances we might put a good performance on. I certainly feel more confident that it may happen than in previous tournaments.
