As someone who knows his adoptive family, i can confirm that his natural parents are talking a load of bollocks here.
They know exactly why he won't deal with them and it's fully justified

Ooooh mysterious...

Just realised he has 12 PL goals this season and is 7th in the scoring charts ahead of Aguero, Hazard, Firminio, Mane and Giroud. Fantastic return so far.

What a strange article and some stranger comments on the site below it. Obviously something went on if he won't speak to them both. Who knows what went on even if he went to schools etc and had many things provided. Just because you get provided a lot of things does not make life great for a child. There is certainly more to the story.

It's none of our business anyway. Any parent who would sell out to a tabloid rag like that does not deserve to be a part of their kids life if thats what they want.

yeah indeed,i hate these type of articles. It's just prying into other peoples lives to make money.

Just to clarify, this article is talking about his biological family, right?

Why is there no mention that he was adopted?

I agree. It's a shame when Adebayor was in the papers for a similar story he didn't get the same defence (not aimed at you btw)

Never been a massive fan of his general game. Never one to advocate for pulling him off as his contribution is outrageous, but have thought his general game play wasn't great. However I feel he has started to improve it in the last few games. I see less running down blind alleys. His replaced his only trick of nutmegging with a bit more dribbling ability. If Alli was on the left wing, he'd amble with the ball looking for a nutmeg or a foul to get inside, but he is now improving his ability enough to actually cut in and through defenders which is great to see.

Brilliant if he can keep developing this side of his game. Keep on as he is in the final third, top player. He should actually have a few more goals this season which is incredible. If he could sometimes improve his final touch in the box, he'd be lethal (even more so)

What's the record for PL goals from a midfielder before your 21st birthday? As far as I can see Alli's tally of 23 is ahead of all the obvious candidates I can think of, or at least will be:

Alli 23 (and counting)
Giggs 23
Sterling 22 (!)
Barmby 19
Fabregas 15
Ronaldo 14
Scholes (technically a striker at the time) 11
Lampard 10
Gerrard 8
Beckham 7

Bet it's someone really obscure isn't it?

It should be noted that he's played far fewer games at this level than Sterling and Barmby for example to reach this tally.

Dele's work off the ball is incredible. The way he shuts down angles and pushes teams back towards their own goal is such a big part of how we pen teams in.

There is so much to like about his game, but what is truly frightening is that he is still only 20.

All being well he will peak in about 7 seasons time. We're probably only seeing about half of what he could become, if that.
